New York Yankees, Can they win the AL East?

Can the New York Yankees finish out the season ahead of the Boston Red Sox? Down to the final 2 weeks. 3 more games with the Red Sox next weekend.

As much as I hate the Yankees and love the Red Sox I have to say the Yankees will hold on. I do think this is the year the Sox will finally take out the Yankees in the playoffs. Only because I am not convinced the Yankees have good enough pitching. It looks like Brown might not even pitch again this year, Vazquez has good stuff but isn't pitching very good. That leaves them with Mussina, El Duque, and Lieber, Lieber and Mussina haven't pitched well all year. El Duque has been tough, but that's really only one pitcher who has done good all year. They have the best bullpen for late in the game, but they only have three guys and these three guys have been overworked. They might not be able to hold up in a game seven after they have been used in the previous games. I guess we will see, but hopefully the Yankees finally lose and the Sox win.

The yahkees will win the East, however they will have a tough time in the playoffs with there pitching. They have a proven offense, but are non existant at times. It all depends on what yakees team shows up. I do not think they will win or even get to the world series due to lack of consistant pitching.

I don`t think so duckb the yankees will win the AL east and get to the World series!!! Boston is CURSED the ywill not make it anywhere and if they meet the yankees in the playoffs they better watch out!!!!
