somebody had to start this topic. new york won last nite in a strange game. mussina was perfect into the 7th and then got shelled. schilling was shelled right from the start.

as for tonite, i see pedro throwing a gem. he has been sandbaggin for the last 3 months and will quiet the stadium tonite w/ at least 7 solid innings. leiber is a bum. therefore, boston will win tonite.

Actually Pedro is the bum, he hasn't pitched well this whole season...and the Yankees are going to tear him up.....Pedro actually looks like more of a bum than Lieber, he needs a hair cut, and so does Ramirez....I hate the Red Sox...and there is no way they are going to win tonight...

Here's to hoping for a Red Sox victory, and Red Sox/Houston World Series. Even though they spent a lot on their players, it's nothing like the Yankees buying a title every year. It's time for a new team in the American League.

So thats why the Red Sox didn't win last night.. b/c Pedro and Manny have long hair... makes perfect sense... anyways... Pedro was 16-9 w/ an ERA under 4 and 225+ K's this year. While those numbers aren't Pedro like they are still solid. He has some of the best stuf in the MLB and I agree with Austin that he is gonna be lights out tonight. I think the Red Sox have to feel almost as good after last night as the Yankees do... down 8-0 and come back to almost tie it up. Then being down 3 and getting the tieing run to the plate against the best post season pitcher of all time.... even though they lost I think they may have gained lots of confidence with their late inning rally.

Nbbaseball must be one great pitcher. 16-9 isn't pitching well all year. Wow, I can only imagine his record if he pitched well. Probably about 30-0 with 400 strikeouts. Get real. There's no way they're going to win tonight though because nbbaseball doesn't like them. hahahaha. I think the Red Sox win this one to even up the series.

Schilling's ankle had to have really been bothering him last night, he didnt throw nearly like he did all season. Although Pedro didn't have the kind of season he has had in previous years he still had a good year. He had pretty good stats in every category including second in strikeouts behind the freak Santana. He had a rough last month of the season, but did you watch him his last start? He was throwing like he used to, throwing in the mid 90's consistently and then throwing his nasty changeup. I agree with what others are saying that Pedro shuts the door tonight to even up the series, and he will be the Yankees daddy tonight.

Pedro Martinez might have had a good record, but he isn't the same Pedro Martinez he was 2 years ago....He lost his last game against the Yankees, where he admitted that the New York Yankees are his DADDY....and the hair thing was to the "bum" comment, the New York Yankees don't have a "bum" on their team...Pedro Martinez is the bum...and I never said that the Red Sox lost cos Pedro and Manny have long hair, they lost cos the Yankees are a better team, and deliverance that is pretty funny, the Red Sox will lose cos I don't like them, well basically I want them to lose, and yes, I'm hoping they do, but anyway... Pedro did well this season, but not too his own standards....I don't care what Martinez's record is....hes not the same pitcher he used to be, and I hate him, he is a good pitcher, but he'll fall short to the Yankees again and tonight is when....

Boston dropped game 2 last night 3-1. New York is now leading the series 2-0. Here's a LCS Fact: a team down 0-2 has lost the last 13 series. The fact is, New York is just outhitting the Redsox. In the ALCS, Boston has an average of .224 with just 1 walk. As compared to New York, who's team is batting .313, just about 100 points higher then Boston. In addition, New York has been walked 9 times, with Jeter accounting for 3 BBs. Game 3 is set for Friday at 8 with probables Kevin Brown (10-6) vs. Bronson Arroyo (10-9). I believe if Boston can win game 3, then they'll take it to 7 games; however, if Boston drops game 3, then they'll be 5 and out.
