Week 11 Predictions

by The Ancient Enemy
Another 7 game lead coming into the week. The weeks are getting shorter for my opponent, and his wallet is getting thinner and thinner. Twenty-five bucks worth of mild and honey barbeque wings is enough to make a man go into the poor house. This is just a sign of things to come, DeBiceps. I plan on not only beating you at NCAA predictions competitions but also beating you at all facets of life. Just think of how great the Coral Gables trip will be when I'm telling you for 24 hours straight in a car about how great those wings are gonna taste, and how hungry you're gonna get while I pound them down in front of you and your whole loser family and all your loser friends like Trout and Saska, both of which know way more than you about football. And they actually played football unlike you who faked an injury because you're afraid of Somerset. I know your deepest secrets because your sister told me all of them. Every time you close your eyes you see an oncoming black and orange tailback and he points at your knees and then you are helpless as he deliberately dives into them. You will soon also see visions of my handsome face covered in barbeque sauce and water from the Fountain of Triumph, which is what I drink from.

Tuesday November 9th, 2004:
=====================
Toledo vs. Northern Illinois:
- We kick the week off with a classic MAC showdown. The Fightin' Huskies are on a ten game losing streak to Toledo, and expect that streak to go the way of Toledo's prestige in the MAC, when they obliterate the junior-high-esque Rockets. Maybe this beating will finally teach people not to rank MAC teams in the preseason unless they wear all orange uniforms are are from Bowling Green, Ohio. But I digress, this is not a game where I pick the winner based on who has better jerseys, which is a concept myself and my companion do on a regular basis. Michael Turner graduated but he'll be back this week at NIU playing offense and defense and he'll show exactly why Brad Gradortowsoiuywki is a joke. No Illy gettin' silllly.
========================
Wednesday November 10th, 2004:
========================
TCU vs. Louisville:
- TCU is a team that I refuse to believe is terrible this year, as they are usually one of those teams you always want to lose but they somehow win. Louisville won a shootout against Memphis last week, in what some consider to be an instant classic, but it is really just a testament to how Bobby Petrino is the most one-dimensional coach in the whole country. How about some defense at practice, coach? Ever hear of that concept? Then again, talking to Bobby Petrino has got to be like talking to a six year old. I refuse to, and will not, give that coach any credit until Bobby Petrino stops winning games with John L. Smith's players. He has done nothing yet on his own, and gets a large amount of hype. Completely over-rated. If he goes to Florida, UF won't win 6 games a season. Unfortunately the Cardinals will win this game, though, in this season.
=========================
Thursday November 11th, 2004:
=========================
Utah State vs. Arkansas State:
- Utah State just fired their coach today, with 2 games left on the schedule. The Aggies are 2-7, and are set to move into the WAC next season. This firing is a good move for Utah State, but why do it now? Why not wait for the season to end? I don't understand that. It's not like Utah State is going to attract a high-caliber coach or high-caliber recruits. I do not like this team going to the WAC, because they did not deserve it. Utah State is a terrible program that does very poorly even in the Sun Belt. Whatever. I'll get back to all this at the end of the season, rest assured. Arkansas State is a team who's mascot is the Indians, yet their logo looks like a rattlesnake. I can't get behind a team with logo issues. But as far as this game goes, even though Utah State has a QB that will be drafted, expect ASU to pull it out.
Florida State vs. North Carolina State:
- Expect the upset. NC State always plays well in games they shouldn't have a chance of winning. Then if they play Duke, they get beat by 30. FSU is a wounded animal with no quarterback, and are a struggling team on their heels right now. North Carolina State will beat Florida State. But I'm taking FSU in an UPSET.
========================
Friday November 12th, 2004:
========================
Southern Mississippi vs. Memphis:
- So. Miss. is having a big-time let-down of a season right now, and although Memphis lost by 400 to a team like Cincinnati, I just can't pick USM. They're reeling too hard, and they're all but a lock for a New Orleans Bowl appearance against North Texas. That's very sad considering how well USM started off the season, and even had C-USA championship aspirations, which would have given them back to back championships. Memphis in a blowout.
Hawaii vs. Fresno State:
- Fresno is also a team who is struggling, but they are a more complete team than Hawaii is. Chang is arguably the best quarterback in the country, but Hawaii has had too many instances this season where they just played like crap. The game is at Fresno, Hawaii is defeated on the road, give me the Bulldogs by 6. But keep in mind... this game could end up 70-15 in favor of Hawaii.
Weekend picks later this week

TAE, The name says it all. While we mask our hatred with friendship, you are truly my foe. Your recent weight loss has come not from refraining from pizza and doing workouts in the early morning, but rather from sweat beading from your horrid brow from sunrise to sunset. That sweat is not that caused by working out in a wierdo's house who cranks the heat up and lifts by candlelight and Limp Bizkit, but rather fear. Fear and Agony are what i bring, and FEED ME NOW is the song i sing. Seven games is nothing, compadre. Be prepared for total domination..

Tuesday November 9th, 2004:
=====================
Toledo vs. Northern Illinois:
- I dont think i've picked against No Illy the past 2 years.. so here we go.. SCUUURRRUP! Goin break em down.. NO ILLY! goin change that game around
========================
Wednesday November 10th, 2004:
========================
TCU vs. Louisville:
- I loved that Horned frog hat.. but come on, its Louisville. Cardinals gettin all NASTAY on a wednesday
=========================
Thursday November 11th, 2004:
=========================
Utah State vs. Arkansas State:
- Utah State.. Why not?
Florida State vs. North Carolina State:
- NCstate has had one of the wierdest seasons ever in the history of mankind. That being said, Bowden unleashes the fires of hell and his boys take one on the road
========================
Friday November 12th, 2004:
========================
Southern Mississippi vs. Memphis:
- So Miss's performance last week made me want to puke. Memphis' made me smile. Smile over Puke
Hawaii vs. Fresno State:
- Timmy, i love you. I love you with all my heart.. But the last time i picked you and your Rainbow Warriors to upset a conference opponent you lost by SIXTY SIX POINTS. Fresno

Saturday November 13th, 2004:
========================
Texas vs. Kansas:
- I'm sure the Horn Nation will be all over this one as well, shouting that Texas is the best team in the nation. Benson might run for 1,100 on Saturday.
Northwestern vs. Michigan:
- Possible upset, but you gotta take Michigan in the big house. Too many weapons for NW, but Michigan somehow still finds ways to lose games. Give me UM by 3.
Boston College vs. West Virginia:
- Another possible upset, as BC is the most unpredictable team in the nation, and the most inconsistent program. They can and might beat WVU by 21 points. But I am saying that WVU wins this game at home, and gets a "much deserved BCS bid".
Boise State vs. San Jose State:
- Dan Hawkins is deep in study right now, tearing through Chinese books about battle strategies and philosophy. As Idaho's first philosopher, Danny Boy will lead the charge as Boise beats San Jose by about 50 million points.
Iowa vs. Minnesota:
- The Queensryche "Decline-is-Right-on-Time" Award goes to.... MINNESOTA! YAAAAY! Another blunder in Minneapolis. I swear Glen Foley sees Geoff Tate in the crowd every week, sitting behind the team in the stands, staring at him while quietly playing the chords to Silent Lucidity on an acoustic guitar. If you know what any of that means, you are either the man, or else you are Kud. Here's to 5 straight, you idiots. Hush now, don't you cry. Wipe away that teardrop from your eye.
UNLV vs. Colorado State:
- I hate how UNLV actually has a chance to win Mt. West games, and I hate how Colorado State lets me down all the time. But if you could only see those home jerseys... baby, I love your way. Every day. Rado gettin' ratty.
North Carolina vs. Wake Forest:
- UNC decided to play well against good teams this season, with the exception of Utah, who gave the Tarheels a tremendous rump-tarring. Wake can't catch a break this season. Do the Tarheels fold against a middle-of-the-road team? Yes. Wake Forest.
Marshall vs. Bowling Green:
- Bowling Green might be playing the best football in the country right now. Apparently, Marshall thinks they are the cat's pajamas and don't have to actually put forth any effort. Try that in Conference USA, where the best football in the country is arguably played. Bowling Green by 18.
Syracuse vs. Temple:
- As much as I want our in-state brethren Temple to win some games, ain't lookin' too good for the Temple Owls. Syracuse has decided to wake from that comatose slumber and start playing football again. Which is bad, because now Pasqualoni is going to get a promotion, and he definitely doesn't deserve it.
New Mexico vs. BYU:
- Tough call in the Mountain West. New Mexico has one of the worst offenses I've ever seen, but they are playing better. Give me BYU by 10.
Penn State vs. Indiana:
- I think the defense can stop Indiana. No, I'm serious. And I think the offense might get lucky and catch a pass this week. Seriously. Penn State by 1.
Mississippi vs. Arkansas:
- Matt Jones looks like an Arkansas native, and he's as dirrrrtay as one too. Things gettin' rough in the Confederacy this week, as the battle for 'Dirty Souf' bragging rights comes to a head in Fort Smith. Lots of tobacco at this game, and many bearded gents. Give me The Saw by 7.
Connecticut vs. Georgia Tech:
- When a questionable offense takes on a good defense, take the defense. When it's the Big East vs. the ACC, take the ACC. When it's Rebecca Lobo vs. Ludacris, there ain't nothin' but Disturbin' tha Peace. Recognize royalty when you hear it.
Vanderbilt vs. Kentucky:
- Jay Cutler, I give you command of the weekend. I have been talking about this guy for 2 years, he's a marvelous quarterback, and he finally has a chance to win a game. UK is once again yUcKy.
Clemson vs. Duke:
- Another late-season surge by the Tigers? Believe it. Will Bowden keep his job? Hopefully not. Especially when he okay'd those purple jerseys. None the less, Clemson by 20.
Akron vs. Ohio:
- Charlie Cheese spreadin' ketchup all over Athens this weekend. Todd Koening runs for cover.
Central Michigan vs. Buffalo:
- What a match-up. I seriously think that the CMU athletic director sat down and said, "We want to tour the worst teams on the planet this season." Hopefully they'll play East Carolina, and if that happens I might blow my brains out. CMU
Baylor vs. Oklahoma State:
- Justin Crooks is eagerly awaiting the April draft. OSU by 30.
Kansas State vs. Colorado:
- Colorado is way down this year, as they were last year. This is a perfect opportunity for them to get up and beat K State, but Uncle Bill and Midget Tail-back are highsteppin' all over Boulder.
Pittsburgh vs. Notre Dame:
- Heartbreaker last week probably cost the Panthers a bowl bid. No matter, Walt Harris still refuses to shave. Irish are coming off a huge win last week, and who called that game in the preseason? Believe it, son. TAE, The Ancient Enemy, The Awesome Elephant, The Archbishop of Eternity, The Amazing Emergency, The Awesome English. Belize dat. Tyrizzle Willizzle by 20.
San Diego State vs. Air Force:
- Dark Side Defense is no longer dark and intimidating, but is just SHHHAAAAADY. Air Force by 6.
UL Monroe vs. Middle Tennessee State:
- Tough one in the Sun Belt. The Middle Tenners definitely got destroyed by New Mexico State last week. Rumor has it Abe Kmetz has been stumping all over Murfreesboro for a "call to arms and a lot of snuff chewin" this weekend. MTSU QB Clint Marks visited the holy cabin built by Kmetz up in New Germany and he had this to say: "Let's just say I'm inspired to win. For some reason, I really want to go buck huntin' from the back of someone's quad." MTSU by 3.
Georgia vs. Auburn:
- Inconsistency killed the cat. I made that saying up just now, but Tigers are cats, and they ain't playin' as well as they should be. Give me the Dawgs in a game I'm probably going to regret.
Wisconsin vs. Michigan State:
- Bad things happened when the Sparties walked into C-bazz last week. They'll be badgerin' 'em all afternoon. Get it? Give me Wisconsin because Anthony Davis is an eye-poked, scholarly gentleman.
California vs. Washington:
- Classic matchup that will be a serious blowout. Aaron Rodgers sets the passing record this week for most passing yards against an opponent, at any level of football.
Miami vs. Virginia:
- UVA was exposed by FSU, but they are back on track again. This game is at Coral Gables, though, and Miami is the best team in the country. Back on the scene with a big win over a quality opponent.
Texas Tech vs. Texas A&M:
- Tough call, Cumbie is the best QB in the country, but the game is at A&M. Not that matters, because A&M is terrible regardless of where they play. I'll do it, I'll take the Raiders on the road. Tech by 40.
Troy vs. LA Lafayette:
- Gotta give the nod to the Trojans, if for no other reason than sweet helmets.
UCLA vs. Oregon:
- Big time showdown in the Pac 10. UCLA was somehow beaten up last week, and I'm still stratching my head. I'll take Orego by 4, and if they are wearing all greens, give me Oregon by 16.
Ohio State vs. Purdue:
- PurDONE is set to have another record-breaking day. I've been talkin' trash on Kyle Orton since the first game of the season, and he'll get exposed this week too. Maybe this will finally teach people not to have pre-game specials about a kid who hasn't done anything yet. So sowwie, Kyle. Told ya Joe Tiller would fall flat on his face again. OSU by 90.
Miami Ohio vs. Western Michigan:
- Larkin is flyin' like a lark in this one, as the Redhawks demolish a very terrible opponent.
Houston vs. UAB:
- Hackney has been down in the dumps lately, but he's still the biggest quarterback in the universe, and he'll get his sweet Dragons back on track. Dragon Wagon by 7.
Central Florida vs. Ball State:
- A very defeated season continues this week for the hapless Knights. One of Ball State's WR's is at the top of the list in the whole nation. Must be doing something right on offense, I guess. Defense however... Yeah, Ball State by 15.
New Mexico State vs. Florida Atlantic:
- New Mexico State somehow blew MTSU away last week, and I shed a tear with Kmetz and company. FAU is not playing as well as they should be, but give me them at home.
Eastern Michigan vs. Kent State:
- The Fightin' Emu's travel to Kent this week, a team that has been playing "well" lately. Gotta go with the sweet greens.
Oregon State vs. Stanford:
- Stanford has trailed off miserably, and Oregon State is one of the better teams with a bad record. OSU wins a conference matchup and prays for a bowl bid.
Nevada vs. SMU:
- First road win of the season comes against the helpless Mustangs.
Nebraska vs. Oklahoma:
- Blowout.
Utah vs. Wyoming:
- When you wear those terrible home jerseys, expect to be destroyed. They get destroyed.
Washington State vs. Arizona State:
- Closer than people will think, but ASU pulls it out. Andrew Walter, I hate your guts, you giraffe-necked loser.
South Carolina vs. Florida:
- Ready for gators-own-you to get his second yellow card on the site? South Carolina goes into the Swamp and beats Florida by 2 touchdowns.
East Carolina vs. South Florida:
- They're purple and yellow. USF by 40.
Idaho vs. North Texas:
- Close game, last home game of the season, and I will be in attendance to support the bad Mean Green. Super Mario will have 400 yards on the ground while Darrell Dickey refuses to pass the football. UNT by 14.
Tulsa vs. Louisiana Tech:
- Tulsa, welcome to the MOATS. You have no answer for Ryan Moats.
Army vs. Tulane:
- When you come to Nawleans, bring yo A-game. This is the dirtiest of the dirty, the soufest of the souf, the humidest of the humid. Green Waves splashin' all over Bobby Ross.
Alabama vs. LSU:
- The dream is over. LSU by 35.
Rice vs. UTEP:
- Ibok Ibok just called me and said that Rice will be poured from a box, cooked, drained, and gobbled down by Mike Price and Carson Palmer's brother.
Arizona vs. USC:
- Dooooooooowayyynnneeeeee Jarrettttttt. J-A-double R, E double T. Another big win for the Trojans.
