college commentary

This week, I'm going to pick a few teams that should be locks to win, and a few teams that should be able to upset a so called better opponent. I'm also going to pick a most overrated team, and a most underrated team as well. So here goes..
Here's the locks:
Oklahoma over Baylor
Northwestern over Illinois
UTEP over SMU
Utah over BYU
Memphis over East Carolina
Here's the upsets that could happen:
Temple over Boston College
Georgia Tech over Virginia
Stanford over California
Rutgers over Navy
Alabama over Auburn
The most overrated team right now in college football is Boise State. They have played too many close games on the road to be a top notch team, and they have also given up too many points on defense. They had two close calls on the road against two win teams, and in both games they gave up over 40 points. One of those games required 2 overtimes to sort out the mess. That is why I think this is the most overrated team.
Right now (and all season), the most underrated team is probably Wisconsin. One Saturday ruined their whole season, and admittedly, they were horrible that day. But throughout the nine games before that, this Badgers defense hadn't given up more than 17 points in any game. That included the one against Purdue, which was, at that time, the top offense in the nation before Wisconsin started them on their downward spiral. I also hear that John Stocco has been starting to hit his stride some. They have one game left against Iowa, which they should be able to win. But to go to a BCS bowl, they now have to pray for a Michigan loss to Ohio State.
And the final comments I have are to hoping that Auburn, USC, and Oklahoma all finish undefeated. One of those teams will be cheated out of a national championship that they deserve a shot at. Another hope I have is for a Boston College loss to Temple, and a WVU loss to Pittsburgh. That would most likely send Pittsburgh into a BCS bowl, where they would get manhandled by whoever they played. But that scenario would guarentee a 3 loss Big Weak team getting into a BCS bowl, and perhaps open the eyes of the entire college world to what the BCS really is: BS. It's nothing but a big money ploy for big money schools.
That's all for today folks. Let's see what the other commentators on here have to say...
