Tonight (friday) at 7:00 is the I-AA playoff game bewteen William and Mary and James Madison. W&M beat JMU earlier this season 27-24. It's on ESPN2.

On Saturday, at 2 pm on ESPN2 is the I-AA playoff semi-final between Sam Houston State and Montana. SMSU is coming off a huge comeback win from last week, and they're starting quarterback is A&M transfer Dustin Long, and if you remember him from last year you know he is very good. He has put up big numbers all season for the Bearkats. Montana is coming off a bigtime blow-out win of New Hampshire, who was real solid. Should be a great game.

At 4 pm on ESPN is the Division II championship, bewteen Valdosta State and Pittsburg State. It's worth watching because Pittsburg is the 'Gorillas' and that is exceptional.

And don't forget that the Heisman presentation is on at 8 tomorrow on ESPN.

There was a worse embarrassment in Sam Houston State's history than losing to Montana last weekend. When the school was first founded in the mid-50's, it was called the Sam Houston Institute of Technology. Imagine the dismay on the faces of the administration when the schools 1st T-shirts were printed with the schools initials. Gimme a S...Gimme an H...Gimme an I...Gimme a T. At a press conference, their then President, a Mr. Hankey, looked embarrassed and was flushed.

My cousin Jonathan is the quarterback at JMU, and he told me last night that after watching the films they think they can beat Montana. The JMU coach told Jonathan that all he has to do is make sure he doesn't miss any of the field goals, or fail to take advantage of opportunities on defense when Jonathan is covering someone downfield. Good luck to JMU but after watching both of those games I'm gonna say Montana wins a close one, by 35 points.

I noticed no one posted on this subject SINCE JMU WON THE DIV-1AA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!! Go Dukes!!! A question for Hollywood: Did you know, in your time at WVU, any of the following Mountaineers who transferred to JMU: Brandon Goins, Derek Pack, or Curtis Keaton (who led JMU to the 1999 playoffs as their featured back and is now on the New Orleans Saints roster).
