"It's been a decent run, and I'm proud of that. I'm proud at what I left behind for the Panthers future. Good luck to Tyler, and the Panthers. Oh yeah and Tony Dorsett still sucks. And he's still an jerk. Come on out to the coast, Dorsett. We'll get together, have a few drinks, have a few laughs, and maybe you'll get pushed out a window. Pain hurts real bad, Dorsett. It hurts right there in your chest. Peace, baby, I'm up out this rathole."
It is official! Walt Harris will be on the next plane to the land of the rising Republican sun: Palo Alto, California and Stanford University. Penn State fans everywhere rejoiced, and put down their cow-milking buckets to jump on their 4-wheelers and do donuts in the mud while the rest of the family shot shotguns into the afternoon sky.

"WEEEE ARRRREEE... PENN STAAAATE!"
Joe Paterno gave a sigh of relief, and Jaime Dixon rubbed his hands together at maybe getting a few more bucks next contract period. Possible replacements for Harris's decent legacy are Dave Wannstadt, Bob Davie, and Ken Bussard.

"14.4, eh?"
"Wanny" will not come cheap, and will carry with his pricetag the ever-looming, severe possibility that Pitt will fall to pieces under his tenure. Bob Davie is a good football coach who lost a lot of games at Notre Dame but most of those were close calls. Whoever Pitt hires, the cupboard is full, and Pitt has 14.4 million dollars in it's bank account. The Pitt facilities are also pretty solid. With Palko there, and with that team, even with a bad coach Pitt should be no less that 9-2 or 10-1 next season. Stanford will not win 5 games.

"No, seriously, even though I lost 40 games in about 3 seasons, I swear we came THIS CLOSE to improving to 3-13."
Congrats to Tyler Palko for almost single-handedly getting his coach some undeserved credit and hype.
