11th...how can a team give up 40+ points and still play much better D?

As I stated S cube, the score did not indicate that Bedford played improved defense. The key to McCort's win was the exceptional field position Bedford's offense or special teams handed to them. The D stepped it up numerous times inside the redzone, twice inside the five, and held them to two redzone field goals. They only gave up about 200 yards of offense but due to the fact that BM's field position was so stellar on just about every one of their possesions Bedford's backs were against the wall. McCort's defense also added another one of their TD's.
All in all, it was a much improved game defensively for the blue. Their defense was much different than the score board showed.

When a team has 2 players rush for 100+ yards on you, it isn't a good sign. They will do it again and the CC D won't be surprised by the speed of Troy Harris. As much as it hurts, and as much as you Bedford fans/players hate to admit it, this is a very realistic score to the game:

CC 42

Bedford 12

And Bedford players sure do make alot of bold predictions on here. I would like to see them back them up once in awhile.

Well sports999, a realistic score would have been like that for the first meeting, why do you say that it will be that. Are you saying that Bedford has absolutely no chance at all, because if this is true, be prepared to be shocked on Friday night. After the game previously this year, Bedford players, coaches, and fans were all left with a bad taste in their mouth. Not because of the score either. CC is by far the cheapest, lowest team when it comes to hits after the whistle. And all im gonna say is that if Bedford doesnt win, which you seem to be pretty sure is going to happen, CC and the fans that are at the game will know that they were in a game. Thats a promise. For the whole bedford squad the goal after week 3 has been to get back to FH for another shot at them, the road to Sidman runs through Ebensburg, hopefully the bisons will make it there and beyond. :D

Bedford

I would just like to see a little more on the field from Bedford and a little less talk. I come here and see the players predicting win after win and only picking up 5, and none against decent teams. Ask McCort if CC has gotten any better since that matchup with Bedford. CC's D gave up 7 points to them, Bedford gave up an ugly 40 or so. I am just being realistic with you. And all the talk of late hits? Please think up a better shot at the CC team than that.

Sports999, Bedford players do make some bold predictions here, but there's no reason why they shouldn't. To win you must be confident that you are going to win- you cannot go into a game thinking you will lose and come out the victor. They are confident, and have backed up their predictions numerous times( 5, to be exact). Do you expect them to come here and predict that their team will lose, what kind of a player would that be?

I never said that they should predict a loss, but coming here and making those predictions fires up the other teams.

And who couldn't predict wins against the 5 teams that Bedford beat. Beat somebody good, and gain respect.

Well sorry sports999, i guess its perfectly fine to be cheap and dirty after the play. And i wasnt making that a shot against them, i was simply stating that Bedford was and still is angered and fired up. The coaching staff had to hold back several bison players because of what they said after the first game. No holding back on Friday. And all this talk becomes a moot point come Friday, the team that plays with more passion, more fire, and limits turnovers and penalties will win. Believe it or not, both Bedford and CC are very similar. Good luck Bisons. Go and 'get to the turf.'

To be exact, Bishop McCort scored 29 points in the second half. Care to guess how many yards they had offensively?

49...

That's how your defense can step it up and still have points scored on them.
