Another Local Recruit for Pitt

A day after Duquesne High School running back/linebacker Shane Brooks made a verbal commitment to the University of Pittsburgh, another W.P.I.A.L. star agrees that Pitt is it.
Pittsburgh Central Catholic quarterback and safety Shane Murray has made a verbal commitment to the school up the road, the University of Pittsburgh.
The 6-foot-2 1/2, 193-pounder was 88 of 176 passing for 1,485 yards and 20 touchdowns this past season in leading the Vikings to a state record 16-0 mark, a 2nd straight W.P.I.A.L. title and a P.I.A.A.
state championship.
Walker selected Pittsburgh over Connecticut, Richmond and Hofstra. He was recruited as a quarterback, but could be moved to safety in college.
