well, pitt keeps slipping. today they lost to st. johns. first bucknell, now st. johns. they must have missed demetrius the criminal...which is really kinda sad to miss a player like him as a supposed top notch DI program. pitt is really going to have to step it up to make the tournament. their RPI is in the 70's and they haven't beat a quality opponent all year. things won't get any easy this saturday at 9pm against uconn. the first ever college basketball gameday live from uconn's gampel pavilion will surely have both teams fired up.

I don't know what's up with this team. They have mostly all the guys back from last year. In fact, I thought they'd be better than last year. Right now they're playing terrible basketball. If things don't change, they won't be playing in the big dance come March.

i am just assuming that you think that i am calling this out b/c i love to see pitt basketball lose b/c i am a penn state fan. sure, that is part of it. although, i would love to see pitt lose no matter what the state of psu's atheltics. also, describing me, a fan of connecticut basketball going on 10yrs now, as miserable is not accurate in any sense of the word.

What's with the criminal remark? Don't tell me you don't love every minute of it. And don't use UConn as your scapegoat. Like I said, misery loves company.

No doubt that Pitt is not living up to expectations this season. Krauser is trying to do too much and is turning the ball over way too often. Taft has not played as well as he needs to. He could be a dominant player, especially with a guy like Troutman backing him up. Troutman seems to be their saving grace so far. Guys like McCarroll and Graves seem to have taken a step backwards. The freshman Ramon has looked good at times, but will show more consistency as the season progresses.

The contributions of Brown and Page went largely unnoticed last year because they were not the biggest scorers. However, they provided leadership and did a lot of things that helped the team. Page was excellent defensively and although he had a poor season shooting, he was always a threat. Brown was a guy who did a little bit of everything....there weren't any weak spots in his game. This team hasn't found anyone to replace those 2 yet.

Notice how this bbftballftbbballftfan55 dude was crazy in love with the Steelers, and now he is such a big Duke fan that he has them in his posts. Austin is magically a huge UCONN fan. I smell a rat.

HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WE GO!!!!!

i am a uconn fan b/c of magic. you caught me. a wizard, who looked very similar to digger phelps, just last week came to my place and spoke some crazy crap about college basketball and BAMMM....i am now a uconn fan. seriously, if you smell a rat, you may want to check things out on your end b/c rodent infestation can lead to serious health risks.

El-moldo is gettin all fired up b/c he thinks this is a psu/pitt thing again. man, some people just don't give up w/ that crap. this is about pitt basketball. once-a-runner made a good post about pitt basketball. apparrently, el-moldo in is incapable of posting intelligent arguments and resorts to lines like "misery loves company."

why do i call yuri demetrius a criminal??? he was kicked off the team recently for being charged w/ burglary and assault. i say that would qualify him as a criminal for our purposes on this board.

about pitt's problems, i think taft and krauser have gotten too caught up w/ their NBA stock. i haven't watched much of pitt this year, but i get this impression of them from watching them in the past and reading quotes in the post-gazette. its safe to say thier stock is sufferring right now. jamie dixon is actually going to have to do some real coaching this year. time will tell how that works out.
