And with many teams schedules, you actually have to make low weight before the 2 pound allowance in order to be sure you get there enough. I even heard of kids who were injuried last year and were not going to wrestle, but were FORCED to make weight in order to meet the weighin requirement.

One thing that puts me on your side is just what Sneakers said. Cutting weight is one of the greatest character developing experiences a kid can have. It teaches self discipline which is seldom seen in this world. I can truthfully say that cutting weight has helped me to control any urge to taste the forbidden fruit of any kind.

That is a given, not giving in to basic urges, to eat and drink build great character.

Exactly, if you can overcome the urge for the necessities then you can overcome the urge for any temptation.

Well I must say both Snyder boys looked really good at the NBC match, Congrats to both of them...Even though I truely believe Josh had Hart pinned a few times, it was still a good match. And Jake....Congrats buddy you were awesome once again!

mizrite...both snyders looked good at the nbc match?...did we go to the same match?...josh couldnt put the finishing touches on a first year wrestler and jake was losing in the second period until he locked up his cradle to get the pin...last night was actually about the worst iv seen them wrestle in awhile...they both looked sloppy at times...although it is early and they are probably a little rusty from their christmas break...but im sure they will be in top form by the postseason...

And congrats to Jared. I'm sure it was the result he wanted, but boy is that kid tough.
