CR Junior High Basketball

Post by kohlslaw5 »

Speak up lion fans!! No one is expecting this years' breed of ridgers to be very good this year, judging by a poor performance at procare and the lack of a presence on the inside other than travis or brock manges. BUt we had an open gym today and it looks like the ridgers have quite a bit of raw talent, especially coming up out of the eighth grade with a few kids i've never seen before. Now, of course it was an unorganized open gym so there was a ton of fouling and such going on, but it looks like this year's ridge team may be as good as, or better than, last years'

agree? disagree? just don't care? tell me!

dear "whatisgoinon" (a.k.a. mike tomovich),

it seems a little bit strange you have so much time to make fun of basketball players instead of doin all your "hardcore liftin". By the way, if basketball takes no talent, then why in the world aren't you all state yet!>>??? Taking shots at basketball players in a public place doees nothing but tarnish the reputation of "rasslers" in general. and snowbereger, i don't believe you would have agreed with tomovich if you would have known it was him. i expect it from a person liek tomovich, but i thought u were a better sportsman and a better person in general than that.

Also, it was asked that no wrestlers made any detrimental comments in this thread by its author, me. so shame on you. maybe this is why your account continues to get hacked tomovich, besides bein a cocky showoff in other threads...

You don't see any basketball players going into the wrestling forums and tellin them they need to shoot free throws, so why do you have to tell a basketball player to lift weights. It is a proven and known fact that weightlifting during the season at a yournger age messes up not only shot distance, but release point and other vital parts of the shot.

When i need to know how to do a two-leg takedown, then open your mouth, but as for now, let bball alone until you have reached a level of TALENT (and maturity) comparable to a peewee league basketball player.

I know basketball player that lift out of and sometimes during season. Not all of them do and yes some of them are wimps but there are basketball players out there with a lot of talent. Yes, wrestling is a more physical sport but that doesnt mean all basketball players are wimps and have no talent. I like and respect both sports and being a basketball player myself i also make fun of it every once in a while just for laughs but i dont go around sayin they dont got any talent.

Good luck in wrestling guys

now lets not forget, this isn't a BASKETBALL vs. WRESTLING thread

THIS is a CR junior high basketball thread. For comments on CR junior high basketball. I had second thoughts about making this post because i knew arrogant wrestlers would ruin it.

Let's get back to the topic then.
