this first week of the season could either make or break the confidence of this year's team

I hope the Ridge junior hoopsters aren't that fragile, Cold Slaw. It's a long season with endless opportunities for confidence to be gained and lost. It's nice to start well, but how a team finishes makes the statement about character.

confidence is a predecessor of character, and experience is a predecessor of confidence. If a team lacks experience, they may be more fragile. Also, fog horn, both games are all-important county games, which can tremendously help CONFIDENCE which is used to build CHARACTER.

Kohlslaw, sounds like you want to write a book on sports psychology. Sometimes, though, you can think too much about things. Those Little Lion cagers simply need to get out there and play like it's a one-game season. They need to act like they've been out in the bush too long without meat. Suddenly a panther comes lollygagging by. What's gonna happen?

Well, isn't a lion the King of the Jungle?

Ridge-31
NBC-24 i think

Ridge starts off good every1 played hard it took them a few minutes but the second half everyone played great. There wasn't much of a drop off in talent when the coach pulled some guys off the bench either. They need to keep playing hard throughout the whole season.

wasn't a beautiful game, but ridge pulled it out. I thought that both teams did exceptionally wellfor their first games.

Big test for Ridge tommorow when they go to Tussey. They had a few kids hurt and sick. Should be an interesting game.
