The lions will need to play better than they did tonight at practice if they want to win.

tonight was a complete turnaround of last night's practice--lions big over the spartans--52-20. As sportsfan said, the lions had a very bad night at practice thursday, but tonight the lions could do no wrong-it seemed. Scoring 20 points in the first quarter, it was lions all the way, never trailing at all in this one. A lot of kids got to play and i think we had 10 players who scored. the lions looked good in all parts of the game.

I think the lions were losing at 1 point when the score was 2-0

No offense but u beat a not so great spartan team tonight...... tougher games will come for the lions later in the season.

You play who you play. Obviously S. Ful and Mcburg are down this year. But they were still good wins because some players who needed to develop some confidence stepped forward. Plus Coach H. has been able to get every player on the team quality playing time -- not just mop-up action.
Highlights: Utz is showing real promise underneath; the Manges boys are also performing well; Spiker is showing maturity with good shot selection and aggressive play; Kohler is improving game by game -- one day he's going to really light it up; Herncane is showing the leadership he needs to show; Kowert is a pleasant surprise -- he's an immediate impact player; hopefully Saxman will recover from his back injury. Playing fine teams like Everett and Bedford will be a good experience for the boys.
