Probably most Red Sox fans are fuming over this latest decision especially the fan who touched Gary. If you had seen Wednesday's "1st & 10" on ESPN, you would've seen Skip Baily compare this incident to the Ron Artest scandle in Detroit as almost the same. I personally believe baseball made the right choice and Gary was completly innocent!

I am a sox fan, but I definitely believe they made the decision. I mean you can't let fans do anything they want, but not let players defend themselves. I was really impressed at the way that Sheff composed himself. I just wish they would suspend fans like that for life. I am sure there are people on a waiting list for season tickets, so they won't loose money. Pro sports as a whole need to clean up some of their fan base in my opinion!

MLB made the right decision. The fan that threw the 'upper-cut' received the right punishment. His tickets were taken away for this year, but he's allowed to get them back next year. The fan that spilled the beer in Sheffields direction isn't allowed to purchase tickets for this year. I hate the Yankees and everything they stand for, but I 100% agree that Sheffield was in the right in the way he reacted to last Thursdays events.

Yes, the choice the MLB made the right decision. Sheffield didn't really do anything to the fan anyway, it's not like he pulled a "Ron Artest" on the fan. I think that he handled it well, and things could have been a lot worse if he didn't...

Definatly the right decision, it's only human nature to react like that when someone attacks you. I thought he composed himself very well by not climbing into the stands and making a big deal out of it.

Exactly Sheffield was just reacting to what any other person would have to and then you have people that say "Oh he is A pro and he should no better" Well truth is he is human just like the guy that punched him in that game!!!
