per the link above, brad eldred is getting bumped up. guy leads all of professional baseball with 13 HR's. he pretty much dominated the eastern league during his last 60 games. he had 30 HR's in that time. he and adam hyzdu are probably the best position players to wear a curve jersey. dave littlefield was reportedly at the curve game last nite and must have liked what he saw in the 2 home runs eldred hit.
i expect eldred's #'s to be average for a few weeks to start AAA. his vice thus far in his career has been striking out. strikeouts will come in bunches within the next few weeks as he adjusts. he will then adapt like he has at altoona and once again put up some awesome power #'s. he has proven he can hit at every level up til AA , and i do not see how it will be much different in AAA. expect a large out cry from pirates fans to see "big country" come july and into august. he is exactly what the pirates need in their line up.
as for the major league pirates, i expect some of the everyday players who dont start to produce by the end of may will start to be worked out of the line up. craig wilson, tike redman, and ty wigginton gotta step it up.
