Wrestling vs. Basketball

Post by NbCwReStLeR007 »

Inspired by Sportsfan.

Which sport requires the most talent.....Basketball or Wrestling?

This is not a topic to prove that one sport has "tougher", "bigger", "stronger" athletes....its about what sport requires the most skill?

IMO basketball probably requires more talent...

but wrestling on the other hand requires more work and dedication...

Even though I am a diehard basketball fan, Wrestlers show more dedication to the sport. They give it their all for 3-4 months or more for a trip to Hershey. Basketball is more of a team sport and you always have other players to fall back on if you are not performing your best, but wrestlers don't have that. they rely on themselves for the 6 or so minutes they are out there. As for skill...I believe they are both equally challenging, in basketball shooting, dribbling, remembering plays, guarding...but in wrestling you have so many different moves for the situation you are in.

i agree with you 100 percent s-cube. Not that wrestling requires no talent, it is just more mental and physical preparation, and basketball is more natural talent

I think that both sport require different kinds of talent. I like both sports and they are both fun to watch and both have their pros and cons but again they are both great sports.

Ok but who has or requires more athletic talent?? In my opinion NBA basketball players are the best athletes in professional sports. But that aside which sport requires more athletic talent?? In my opinion basketball. HOWEVER I love watching a good high school wrestling match.

Try hitting a baseball when it's coming at you 100 MPH.

Bubba: Have you ever been on a real shrimping boat?
Forrest: No, but I've been on a real big boat.
