aliquippa wins the state track and fiels title despite having even a track to train on, these guys practice in their parking lot. check out the story at
http://www.timesonline.com i think that this feat is really impressive.

that is an amazing feat coming from somebody who used to didn't have a track either!
i know what you mean but the "quips" pretty much had a bunch of sprinters!
and they also beat out kanuch in the long jump and 100m dash for the title!
had kanuch gotten one of those 1st the outcome would have been westmont- hilltop 43- alliquipa 41 instead of the other way around!
3rd in the state had something like 23 points!

Can't ask more of Kanuch there deuce,the guy did score 36 on his own. He would have needed 3 golds instead of 2 to win.A 2 silver and 2 gold meet is probably the best district 5 or 6 AAboys feat ever. I could be wrong and if I am someone will point it out to me I'm sure.Maybe a 4 gold performance is coming like Kim Spriggs did in 1985 I believe,winning district 5 the only ever state championship on her own.

yeah i guess your right there but i was just saying that had he had one more gold the outcome would have been in westmonts favor!
nothing against him or aliquippa for that matter!
kanuch did extraordinary and allquippa did win it after all!
but congrats to the quips and hopefully westy will be a threat next year although i would like to see a county team like bedford take a stab at the title!
