Matrix Revolutions---MOVIE SPOILER INSIDE-!!!

Post by bison1 »

I saw the first two and I liked them a lot, but I wasn't as pleased with the third. I suppose my expectations were very high, since the first was good and the second was even better...I just thought the third would be spectacular. It lacked something the first two had...the fight scenes were good, but not great; they concentrated too much on the machine wars...neo and morpheus were hardly even in the movie. It went for like 50 mins without neo even being in a scene; and to top it all off...the ending flat out sucked...i mean, the ending inhaled profusely (quote bam-bam). You can't go 3 movies straight with neo being stronger than smith, to end it off by him being converted. Surely the Wachowski brothers could have thought of something better than that.

Oh well, they left room for another movie by showing the oracle and the architect at the end, hopefully the next won't dissapoint.

I agree, I say the movie last night. It was excellent, till the end, do they expect us to believe that the machines are just gonna crawl into a hole now. I think not, I expect that they did this to leave room for the fourth Matrix, and maybe we will see the true end to the war.

i read a little write up in a magazine the other day and critics hit this movie hard. the overall feeling of this movie was a big let-down. they can't and probably never will beat the first matrix. as for more movies, i highly doubt, after this flop, that they'll put money into another movie. they had all the stars back and they still couldn't come up with a better plot? and come on....if neo is neo, how does he die?

They said they aren't going to make another movie, but I dont know how they can end the series like that. I just hope if they would make another one it would be better than the third.

I disagree, I think after this it only leaves room for improvment. I know hey hav some kind tirck up there sleeve, they will not let he war end with a truce.

The way I took it, since Smith is like Neo, but evil, Neo killed himself. Or for another theory, maybe he didn't really die, because it doesn't really come out and say that, does it? I dont think the ending was THAT bad, but I do think the movie as a whole was.

Listen, NEO sacrificed himself to destroy Smtih from the inside, since that was the only way he could destroy Smith and save Zion from the machines. He realized that he has to die to win, which is why he gave up. And the movie wasn't that bad. In fact, I thought the swarming sentinels kicked some serious ****. Oh well whatever.

You are correct that is what happened.

What we're all saying is how can you call that a good ending? We saw Neo in the first movie when he had no power and we watched him develop his power through training and by the end of the movie he could kick butt.

Then we saw the second movie and he completely dominated every fight he was in. On the roof fighting like 200 guys at once... Neo showed he was 'the one'

Then the third movie comes out with Neo still gaining and gaining...he is the first one to EVER reach the machine city, he wins every fight up until the end, now he's stopping things with his hands................and...................all to be concluded by him giving up? "I've been fighting for the same thing for 7 hours of film, and now i'm tired?" You win? And not only did he just plain give up but he turns himself into the enemy to do so.

I understand they needed a catchy way for him to defeat the armies of Smith, but....like I said before....surely the Wachowski brothers could think of something a little better than the star character of 3 movies simply conceding in the final minutes.

Anyway, judging by what was said in the last scene between the oracle and the architect, I don't see how they can't make a 4th matrix...too much was left unanswered.

The Matrix was a complete waste of time. The whole movie consisted of redundant, back and forth, cryptical talking. Something like this:

What a sham.

I read in a recent survey that 87% of the people that didn't like the matrix didn't understand it...

That should tell you something.
