If my NEW friends from Blairsville read this you guys are pretty awesome and have quite a program there. your kids played so well in the Lantazy game. WHat a job these coaches are doing at Blairsville. Coach Jim it was fun coaching with you.

Agreed NoName...These guys are a class act and there is no longer any mystery why they have been dominating the heritage conference the last several years. I enjoyed being around these guys and coaching with them as well, great experience, and what great kids who came together as a team and upset the Division I laden South squad that on paper made this look like it would be a blowout.

Ab is a good football coach. How did the D-IA players look at this game??

Well it goes to show you that with out a line you can have the three of the best backs in the area and if they are not given running room they can be limited. It looked to me that the South coach tried to fit the talent that he had into his system instead of adjusting the system to fit the talent that he had. For instance Stephens and Lewis gained most of their yards on pitch’s and sweeps to the outside. They were trying to run up the middle most of the night with out much success. I do not think that one can judge if one player is head and shoulders above or did better than some one else when the players in the game are at the mercy of the coach, the system, and what plays are being called.

In this area if you are a D-IA player, you better be able to stand head and shoulders above the rest regardless of the players around you, but football is the best team sport! That doesn't mean big stats all the time either but blocking, tackling, making plays etc. at all times!!

That is true...I think that if you are D1A player you should be standing head and shoulders about everyone else....but I wouldn't use an all-star game to judge whether someone is a D1A player or not...do you play an all-star game like you would play a game in the playoffs?

I saw Larod play in the Lantzy game and man I dont no. Yes when he ran sweeps he was good at getting to the corner. But running off tackle he got popped few times and got knocked out of the game. Literally was knocked out for few seconds. Will he be able to get to the corner in college as easily as he did in high school?? I am no expert I wish him well but I dont no. What does anyone else think?? ALso cruz did have a good game but one time he did catch a touchdown pass there was a blown coverage as in noone was covering him. He was open by 15 yards. His other TD catch was against a 5'6 d back. But I think this young man will be a good player at Akron.
