Pitt's offense looked excellent in last night's final-minute win against Virginia Tech, and their defense wasn't that bad considering they had to stop kevin jones, one of the best runningbacks in the nation. Now, the question is, how big of an impact can the panthers have on the BCS if they run the table defeating the rest of the good teams they play this year (WVU and Miami), and could this year be a BCS bowl year for larry fitzgerald and the panthers?
Ham, you really doubt the Panthers this season don't you? WVU came to Pittsburgh and won the backyard brawl last year and the Panthers are going to storm into Morgantown and prove yet again that they're a more than solid football team. Also, even if they lose to WVU (which they won't) they can still beat Miami and win the conference. Hence getting themselves into a BCS bowl. Saturday's game proved that Fitzgerald is not all the Panthers have. It proved that they have a solid group of players on offense that can step up and make plays. If their offense plays like they did against V. Tech then WVU will stand no chance, even with the game being at home.
shifting topics, who is the WVU runningback and what do his stats look like; because that has been pitt's one and only problem this year? Just wondering because if WVU's line and running back are good, it may be a close win.
