Well the girls basketball season is winding down and coming to an end. For CR, we still have 3 more games left. On Monday we play McConnellsburg (Away) and then Fannett Metal on both Tuesday (Home @ the HS) and Thursday (Away). Good luck girls!

Chestnut Ridge Jr. High Lady Lion Basketball 12-7
It's been a pretty good season for the most part.
Final records for all other schools?

Everett lady warriors 18-1 - NBC lady panthers 17-2 - These two programs had three exciting games this season against each other. Both of these teams were 8th graders only. No 9th graders. Look for all of these girls to be moved to the Varsity level next season and have some classic battles over the next 4 years. Throw the 9th graders into the mix for both teams and you are looking at two outstanding teams in the SHL in about two years.

Hmm...that's a difficult question to answer, especially because it takes 5 players to make anything happen. I hate trying to pick individuals out of the bunch.

amy miller is in 8th grade...if she decides to move up to varsity next year she will likely get a reasonable amount of playing time....but it must be like brother like sister because both of them are phenomenal athletes

Agreed. Amy Miller is a phenomenal athlete. She has unbelievable skills and her dedication to the sport (or any sport for that matter) is unthinkable. There are not many 8th graders, or even 12th graders, that can get knocked to the floor, roll over, and then get back up without ever losing their dribble. Even though she is one of the shortest girls on the court, she still racks up the boards. I just hope Amy grows a little. If she had a few more inches on her, she would be nearly unstoppable.
Keep up the hard work AMY!

I also have to agree that she is a grand athlete. She has the talent and skill. If she keeps her mind focused and continues her hard work through high school, she will be an excellent varsity star.
