HCHS had been playing their home games in Indiana for the past few seasons since their former home, G&C Sportsmen's Park, was closed due to the expansion of 119 South to 5-lanes.
Just last week, the Homer school board approved a $160,000 plan to renovate a local Jr. Legion field into a varsity baseball field.
For those keeping track, Homer has now spent or committed to invest nearly $900,000 in new athletic facilities over the past 3 years with no tax increase.

On the opposite side of the same coin - WHY can't the Blairsville-Saltsburg School District, a district twice the size of HC, find a way to put together a full sports program at either school?
