great one-liner bam-bam!
Central people it seems to me to have a reality problem. Central never dominated anything in football in the Big 8, heck they wouldn't even have dominated the ICC because Bellwood and BG would beat them every year. Baseball and Baketball are sports they can compete in year in and year out. But rarely will they win a title in these sports just compete and I don't see them winning the LHAC in football ever.
Central better get out fast or the season they had in football this year is as good as it gonna get and assuming you can beat Claysburg every year which I highly doubt.

Central's move to the LHAC has been a complete disaster for several reasons. The reality is that the "Varsity" football program was in a downward spiral prior to the move, and the current situation has only accelerated things. If you look at defensive stats for the past 2 years, Central has been terrible with their scoring defense and rushing defense ratings at or near the bottom of not only the LHAC, but also the area. If you can't play tough defense you aren't going to win many games in any conference.
On the other hand the past 2 years the Junior High program has adjusted to the move to the LHAC and has demonstrated their ability to be competitive with the FH, CC, BM and BC's
At best, Central Varsity program may become a .500 team over the next 2-3 years but this will be extremely difficult with the existing head coach.

If you can't write it down and sign it, don't say it!

Central never dominated anything in football in the Big 8
Never dominated in the big 8? Our last few years in the big 8 weren't great, i will agree with that, but look at the big picture. Centrals Overall record as a school is 224-193-13. Numerous Big 8 titles, Im not sure of the amount, but im sure central won at least 2 district six championships, and this isnt the first time central had a string of bad years, from 1984-1989, central's highest best season was 4-6, in 1989, then the next year, 1990, central went an outstanding 10-2. though the next 2 seasons were a medeocre 5-5(1991), then an awful 1-9(1992), central posted a .500 or above record up until 1999, where the central of today was "born."
Central Will Turn it around in the next few years, with the improving of the program, and the talent coming up in the system, i think central will be one of the top teams in the laurel highlands for years to come.

One more thing HellowhateverCHS in case you don't know what dominates means: to tower over, to rise above, to rule or control by power or influence- sound like Central football? I didn't think so. Sounds more like Tyrone the last 10 years or Forest Hills or Huntingdon. To dominate is to have successive great seasons to be a perennial power not to have a good season every 10 years or so. Does that clear it up?
