Wasn't at the game- got periodic updates via cell. It sounded like I missed a good one. Anyone with comments? GURU? About how maybe it should have been postponed to Monday? Or the second DRY Tuesday from now? Maybe you should have been watching more films of FH instead of at BC vs Jtwn?? I saw you and your crew in the corner of the endzone Fri. night. Boy was THAT a great game, or what? Oh well, I had nothing better to do Fri. night either.

So you're saying they shouldnt have gone to the BC vs. J-Town game? If they weren't done watching films by Friday night then they're in trouble before the game starts.
And you do know that it was FH that moved the game due to the rain, and not CC?
Can't say I remember CC ever moving a game due to it being "too rainy."

If you study for a test in high school, and you get to school the next day and find out the test is postponed til tomorrow, wouldn't you re-study again that night? Maybe CC's coaches could have put in a little more time to FH on friday night.

What could they possibly have seen on tape Friday night that they didn't the previous 6 days?
It's apparent you never played or coached HS football...

When you lose by only 3 points, maybe ONE teenie tiny eentzy weentzy frame of film that was missed earlier could have won the game. Are you ever TOO prepared? I mean before you took the SAT's, didn't you read the dictionary the night before? Just ONE word could have made a difference. Just one.

Da Dum...Da Dum...Da Dum...the beat goes on.
Another FH/CC classic. Full of the usual big plays, great defense, and late hits by CC!
Sorry I was wrong about the Pre-game ceremonies...I mis-read... I thought they were going to honor the last CC team that beat FH ten years ago in 95, instead they honored the first D6 champions of FH the 85 team.
Here's the sad part of the system we play in. CC is a quality team. They have a great running team, great defense, and could very easily be 5-1, instead of 2-4, given a few breaks here or there.
This team will be sitting at home week 10, when a team like Cheasnut Ridge or Purchase Line is getting their A$$ handed to them by a real playoff team in the first round. What an injustice!
Makin is an exceptional back, top 3 in the area for sure! CC is just too one dimensional. If the Devils had any passing attack at all they would be unstoppable. Heck, Forest Hills was putting 9 in the box at times and Makin was still reeling off 7 yards a clip. Hats off to him.
Forest Hills looks to be on the right track to making a run for Altoona. Tbeir line and defense are coming together very nicely and Adam Trout is becoming the big play guy FH as been lacking since 2002.
No time to rest for FH however, as they travel to Penn Cambria next week, which is always a tough place to play at.

Personally, I think it would be a great gesture for CC to have a ceremony for the last team that beat FH. But those guys are mostly all dead now, or cannot get released for a few hours from their nursing home. What's the streak at now? 28? 40? It's gotta be atleast 40.
"We're 2-4 and deserve a playoff spot." Nice try. Good teams win close games, and good teams win the games they shouldn't. Looks like CC is another typical CC team, need I say more.
Better luck next year. You'll have an early start to preparing for next year.
