Fresno State is a Garbage Program and Always has Been.

There are not many things in college football that make me sicker than the undeserved hype that Fresno State has been getting over the past half decade. Every year, people like Mark May are praying desperately that this will be the year that Pat Hill gets his act together and doesn't lose 75 conference games to teams like Hawaii and Louisiana Tech. People love to think that Fresno State is about to do something wonderful, but every year, their idiot of a head coach drops the ball again and again. Pat Hill's philosophy to college football is to take on anyone, anytime, anywhere. He loves to run his mouth and talk about how he can beat USC and Texas and Penn State all at the same time. He has stated publicly that he does not care about winning the WAC, and only cares about BCS bowls. They were even making a big deal of this during the game last night, and both announcers were questioning if this is not a little bit retarded. The reason why, is because Fresno State under Pat Hill have never won the WAC conference outright. For such a great program, I'll bet you didn't know that Fresno hasn't even SHARED the title since 1999. This season, they were in sole possession of the WAC after ending a 4 or 5 game losing streak to Boise State, who was apparently so bad this year that they lost to even Fresno. Fresno then turned around and lost to Nevada. Then they turned around and lost to Louisiana Tech, denying themselves even a 3-way share with Boise and Nevada. Oh, but they almost beat USC. A lot of teams are running on the glory of "almost beat USC". UCLA will be another on that list as of tonight.

Beating USC, and almost beating USC, are two very different things. Almost only counts in horse-shoes and lemonade, folks.

Now let's talk about how Oregon deserves a BCS bid. Oregon's big gold-nugget win is over... FRESNO, who just lost 4 games. Oregon didn't even play UCLA this season. BCS caliber team? How about we match Oregon and Notre Dame in the bowl they deserve to play in: The Sheetz 'Punxatawney-Phil Groundhog Bowl' for teams with 9 or 10 wins over people like BYU and Houston.

They kept trying to convince everyone last night that Pat Hill is like 10-15 over "BCS COMPETITION". Could we be anymore misleading? Illinois and Duke are BCS teams. Fresno has won bowl games over mid-level teams like a bad UCLA in 03 and Georgia Tech, years ago. Give me a break!!!! Even THOSE "somewhat" credible wins go out the window when you turn around and give up 40 in a loss to Louisiana Tech.

Yes, Ryan Moats left school early last year.

you dont have to hit person with a grenade to kill them, only get it within 5 meters for a garuanteed kill, 15 meters for one helluva severe injury. as with many other explosives, you usually only have to be close to your target to destroy it

Fresno State looked so good against USC. After that, they've looked downright terrible. How does that happen?

I'm guessing they had a hangover from accepting a bid to the Liberty Bowl before their season was even done. All they had to do was win those two games to get a WAC title, but they didn't even get a PART of it since they lost out. Of course, since they'd already accepted a postseason bid, I guess such a minor thing as winning the conference didn't matter to them.

It happens because they don't really know what they're doing. How is the first goal not an undefeated season and a conference title? You cannot be a small-conference team and play in a BCS bowl with losses on your record. Especially to Louisiana Tech. Pat Hill does this every single year.
