You say the drum in Bedford is annoying?? What a shame, I wonder who the jerk is that plays it?

I'll keep up the good work this season as well!

Ahhhh, one of my fav topics...Toughest places to play.

Tussey is the winner here...Only three schools in the area have won there in the past 15 years in regular season. Forbes Road, N.Bedford, and Everett and they can each count their wins on one hand. N.Star and Windber each got a playoff win there and I think BG won there one time in early 90's but that's been about it. Officials are easily intimidated there (my opinion) and the Terror Dome has an aura about it with the home fans vehemently protesting every call...and it gets to the refs.

Most interesting places to play are the Fulton County schools....The Barn in Forbes Road is famous...Former clock operator/scoreboard operator there is a treat...Been screwed out of many timeouts, players with "phantom" fouls, etc.

Then there is S.Fulton where you get the locals calling the game...Brother of the PG, Uncle of the Power forward, school board member, etc. Biggest homer gym in the area by far.

And my personal fav is Fannett-Metal...Like going to a dinner show...They have the end under the one basket open and you can literally sit 5' from the endline and enjoy supper in the cafeteria while you watch the game...what an atmosphere! Once saw players hustle for a loose ball into the cafeteria and come out with ketchup, coke, etc. all over them not to mention they ruined some family in Willow Hill's dinner.

I guess the dragons don't play the titans otherwise they would be victims like everyone else.

What is it with the Covites? They think they won the superbowl with a 4-6 record in football. It doesn't matter that Forest Hills, McCort, Carroll, etc. dominate the LHAC in football and always will they still think they can compete. Delusional! Now hoops hasn't started yet and their blowing off on how good they are and we just ought to give them the District medals now and save a lot of time. Give me a break! Central boys and girls will be very lucky to get to the finals this year and won't win the LHAC!

Gang,

NB was a very tough place to play back in the 90's but has fell off lately as I have heard. The toughest place to play and the team always plays well at is Tussey!!They are nuts.

HR I agree with you 100% on your homer gym assessments!

Add to that Shanksvilles old gym, the shoe box no 3 point line in the corners! Claysburg is always a ridiculous place to play. I swear there are more people named Earl in Claysburg than all other places put together!

I'm gonna go with just about everyone else's opinion and say Tussey is the hardest place to play. The main reason is like Head Roadie said, the officials are intimidated there. They wont' make the right call just because they don't want to get yelled at by the fans and coaches. Our JV team won there last year by a point and the last 3 seconds on the clock took 12 1/2 minutes because of a call. The official knew what the call should be but called it against Tussey and then the crowd went nutz so he switched the call to go against Nothern.

The next place would be Forbes Road. I hate that court. I can't even stand in the corners without my feet either beind out of bounds or over the 3 point line.

The 3rd would be Hyndman just because I hate riding a bus that far and when you get there, the gym has 12 people watching the game and 6 of the 12 are players.

hey portly fellow, The Gator never once stated that our floor was nice, He just stated that it is a tough place to play. Nicest floor would have to go to maybe Bedford. Ridge is supposed to have a new floor. Any of yins seen it yet.
