the nbc/bedford match last year was loud...but not as loud as the nbc/claysburg match at nbc the year before, that match was awesome...claysburg gym gets pretty noisy at times too, but iv never been at a bedford match when the crowd was very rowdy for a wrestling match...

Remembering back to the "glory days" of Tyrone wrestling,I remember the largest gym in D-6 (outside the Altoona fieldhouse) being packed to the rafters for every match.Crowds picked up towards the end of last year,I think Tyrone's gym could return to form once the football players are done running roughshot over everyone and get into the wrestling room.Home matches with BEA,Indian Valley, and Mount Union,on top of hosting the district duels should help bolster that chance.
As far as recent years,I like the way West Branch holds home meets.Drop the lights, bright spots on the mat, band playing,it's almost like "visionquest"

I wonder when NB's spirit night will be this year...it's usually on a sat. night but this year's bedford match is at bedford so it can't be then.

Bellwood does the lowering the lights thing and has the mat spotlighted with most of the other lights turned out. the first time I ever saw that I was impressed...it was the coolest thing.

NB has some of the best Wrestling Fans, young and old, On spirit night there isn't anything held back. I was at the Bedford/NB Match last year and I couldn't hear for hours afterwards. NB has one of the loudest gyms.
