i agree with roadie nb should have a very good season next year...they do have 9 returning starters on defense...and 8-9 on offense...there is a couple spots that will be very hard to fill such as the jake hall quarterback posistion and others...roadie forgot a very good linemen wich is tommy swope...from what i hear they r moving tommy to center drew eshelmen to guard and everyone else will stay in the position they played last season...the reason for the swithch is because tommy and mike hughes have been workin togeher since 7th grade at qb and center...

Yea qb14, I heard the same thing. I posted that last reply about 3 months ago so several things have changed. Any word if Kenny is really not coming out this season ?? I've talked with coach 4 and he said that's he's not.

I think when it is all said and done, Kenny will play...

I also think we will have a new face in Derek Brown. He would become one of NB's strongest players and would be a Dustin Swindell type of NoseGuard. Talking to him today he said he is 80-90% sure he will play. HE would be a welcome addition.

Don't discount another possibility at Tackle that would allow Swope to maybe even be a guard or something of that nature. Micah Stapleton is very strong and could play tackle for the Panthers. His problem before has been with the mental aspect of the game on offense, but he is my project this year. I am going to help teach him and work with him to make him a better player. He could very well be the starting tackle this year....

Roadie, I know its a tough name everyone gets it wrong, but its Shauf, no big deal though still the same person.......I think that NB will have a much better season this year, we lost a couple of key players but I think that with the players we have coming out this year that those positions can be filled.

sorry moochy, me and spelling sometimes don't agree. I absolutely agree that NB will have something to prove this season and that they will be much better than last. I hope that everyone gets in the weight room this summer and gets bigger, stronger, and faster. I'm thinking that maybe once or twice a week, the linemen will get together and have some little workouts, kind of like the passing leagues for the backs. I'll be discussing this with D-4 and seeing what he thinks.

i like that idea of the lineman meeting up in the offseason...i know when i played the linemen never got together, it was always specialists to go over routes and what not...getting together just once a week over the summer to go over some blocking assignments could really help out and you wouldnt have to spend as much time going over that stuff come camp and the regular season...

Our line has weekly clinics and meetings from now through camp.It is a good idea.Without your line, your backs are getting beat up.And conversely, with a great line, average backs end up looking better than avg.Weight-training is also related, there are lifts, and exercises that are "position specific",to help an athlete's developement at his position, not just overall strength.

I'm gonna pry then a little Eaglealum. In your clinics and meetings and such over the off season and summer, what drills and such do you guys do that is beneficial but also fun at the same time? We have our normal drills and stuff for the linemen, but anything interesting you guys have done or come in contact with ? I also like the idea of this because this way, the linemen will have been working together for months before coming into camp...they'll know darn near all the blocking schemes for plays, they'll know their pass blocking, all that good stuff. I'm looking forward to this and hoping it can be done with a good turnout throughout the summer.

i would have to agree...that does sound like a good plan then the backs would get so beat up during games and it would help to make them look better...it would help give more time for throwing and it might help make holes for the backs if the line knows exactly how to block on certain plays
