High School Boys BASKETBALL
Conemaugh Valley 70, Conemaugh Twp. 41
Robert Gunby led all scorers with 26 points in Conemaugh Valley’s win over Conemaugh Township on Wednesday night.
Vince Turner, Dustin Held and Rory Marshall each scored 11 points for the host Blue Jays and Turner grabbed 10 rebounds. The win clinched the WestPAC North for the host Blue Jays.
Toby McIlwain topped Conemaugh Township with 20 points.
Shanksville 67, Turkeyfoot Valley 52
SHANKSVILLE – Jeff Berkey scored a game-high 47 points, including eight 3-pointers, in Shanksville’s win over Turkeyfoot Valley.
Cody Coleflesh led Turkeyfoot Valley with 24 points and Nathan Glass added 17.
Shanksville clinched the WestPAC south with the win and will face Conemaugh Valley on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the UPJ Sports Center.
Windber 55, Portage 51
PORTAGE – Matt Wilson led Windber with 21 points in the Ramblers’ win over Portage.
John Hodges led Portage with 23 points, Randy Spaid scored 14 points and Roger Walkovich added 11.
Bishop Carroll 62, Somerset 55
SOMERSET – Jeff Minemyer led Bishop Carroll with 15 points in the Huskies’ win over Somerset.
Victor Tranquillo scored 14 points and Brock Lauer added 13 for Carroll.
Conlan Walsh led Somerset with 19 points, including four 3-pointers, and Adam Angermeier scored 11 for the Golden Eagles.
Blacklick Valley 50, Ferndale 43
NANTY GLO – Brad Weimer led Blacklick Valley with 11 points in a win over Ferndale.
William Chilcott and Paul Green each scored 10 points for the Vikings.
Kary Roberts led Ferndale with 12 points and Adam Hale added 10 for the Yellow Jackets.

Laurel Valley 55, Homer-Center 38
HOMER CITY – Brittany Hall led Laurel Valley with 21 points and 10 rebounds in the Rams’ win over Homer-Center.
Heidi Hollingsworth added 18 for Laurel Valley.
Deanna Bencic and Emily Mechling each scored 11 points for Homer-Center.
Chestnut Ridge 57, Hyndman 17
NEW PARIS – Thirteen different Chestnut Ridge players scored, but none were in double digits, in the Lions’ win over Hyndman.
Chestnut Ridge outscored Hyndman 34-6 in the first half.
Lewistown 73, Cambria Heights 49
PATTON – Jenna Craig and Kayla Espigh scored 18 points apiece in Lewistown’s win over Cambria Heights.
Heather Wilson added 11 for Lewistown.
Amber Dubyak led Cambria Heights with 20 points.
Conemaugh Township 64, Salisbury 31
DAVIDSVILLE – Steph Straka scored 24 points and Megan Maurer added 13 as Conemaugh Township closed the regular season with a win. Adrianne Grove’s 10 points topped the Elks.
The Indians will open the District 5 playoffs on Tuesday.
