Does this happen Often?

I saw that the Bishop McCort Head Coach named two Juniors for the Southern Alleghenies Football Coaches Association (S.A.F.C.A) award.

I was always under the impression that this award was usually exclusively given to Seniors since it is one of the most honorable awards given out. In fact, it is the only award given out in this area that features a banquet where the players attend with the Head Coach.

So my question being is this award given to Juniors often? I was under the impression that it wasn't. I thought the Crushers had some pretty deserving Seniors, or if it is common practice to send Juniors, in which case I would be misinformed.

Just curious on some input here.

Who were the two? And why weren't any seniors honored? There were certainly a number deserving of the honor.

Hey first timer here so dont be to harsh. but to answer your question as to does this happen often. It does I do know that matt spangler and mike sheridan were given this award at the end of their junior seasons and I also know that everyones favorite wesy star brad kunuch was given this award after his all american juinor season for the mighty hilltoppers. So Im sure that there have been other juniors that have received this award and who cares if its McCort players that get it. By all rights Lewis and Barbin deserved it, both started as sophmores and made large contributions to the team and both played extremely big roles in the 05 season as juniors especially in the playoffs.
