All Star Game in the Burgh... is anyone going?

I am thinking about going even without a ticket just to hang out downtown and enjoy the atmosphere. Maybe I can find a ticket from a scalper for under $100 in the standing room only section or something... I wish I would have gone in 94. I don't want to miss this one.

Coach, I was at all three days' festivities. Instead of driving up there everyday, we stayed outside of Pittsburgh. Sunday was a bit long, but still had a blast. Like you said, the atmosphere is unbelievable. I love to go to Pirates games, but this was beyond anything I could have ever expected. During the homerun derby and the actual game last night, the fans were intense. It was so loud that I couldn't talk to the person next to me at all. Earlier this month I was regretting spending money on all the tickets, Fanfest, and the hotel--but now I am extremely happy I didn't miss out on the opportunity to be a part of it all!

I volunteered for the fanfest and had a great time. I worked the home run derby attaction at the convention center. and was present when they had the celebrity and all-star softball game and i retrieved a softball that jimmy kimmel smacked I put it on ebay. think anybody wants it?

We may have ran into each other at Fanfest at one point and not even have known it lol. I was having fun watching the tiny kids practice their fielding skills.
I'm sure someone will want the ball. The person I went with caught a batting practice homerun off David Wright and before we left the park he had an offer for $300 for it.

well did you step into the cage at the home run derby? if you did i might have pitched to you, or tried to snag a fly ball.

man I felt like a kid running around the outfield snagging fly balls and zipping around, but 4 or 5 hours of that prove i'm aging because i was sore as heck the next day, but at least i was not like some dudes i saw lying around grabbing their hammy's in agony. general rule....if you have'nt done anything physical for a decade... you must not attempt to run and jump like a child at the first site of a baseball and basepads.!
