as big as a blow this my be to mccort sports this upcoming year nuthin much will change because all the rest of the mccort recruits should play well enough to return to the d6 championship games in both sports...and as a member of both the basketball and football team not only make it back but win...but i can't say the same for track and field!

That’s a tough break for Mr. Wadley. I think this should serve as a reminder to all High School athletes however of how important your academics are. Bad things happen when they are overlooked.

And just to stir the pot a lil...I attended a few St. Micheal Leagion games during the week and heard that McCort already hit the recruiting trail and Gunby is coming to McCort to play receiver for sure.

Dare I ask...any truth?

Hey Op, I have heard nothing! As I stated a few months ago, I think the kid would be risking losing eligibility and thusly his senior season!!
Therefore, he should stay put & enjoy his senior year @ CV.

And oh yea: [quote="Opinionguy";p="124991"]

I thought for sure you got that memo: Recruiting is illegal!
But presenting false evidence @ a district hearing is kosher if you don't want the kid running roughshod over your secondary(but I'll mention no names!)

You're right Vman, recruiting is illegal, as is playing 5 years of varsity athletics.

What false evidence was presented? I think you should take a look in the mirror of your beloved Crusher administration. I would think that someone should of been keeping tabs on this stuff before hand.

Or are records and slates both wiped clean when you "Convert" to the Crimson and Gold.

Everyone deserves a second chance!

McCort & everyone else was certainly aware that AW had attended JHS for 2 yrs...so I don't see point of your question; keeping tabs of what?
People other than teachers can count to 4!

AW did not play 4 yrs of varsity athletics.

But as erroneously reported (when in deliberation with no chance for BM to present clarification/rebuttal/truth) by a certain influential member of the D6 committee, who I am sure was guided by his beloved coach, he played 2 yrs @ JHS.

BM had a sign off from the school(JHS) & Basketball coach that AW did not play any Varsity Sports as a sophomore but in fact played significantly less than 25% of the JV Basketball season. Now how & why did a upstanding member of the D6 committee tell voting members otherwise?? I think this is who should take a look in the mirror!!!!

The fact is the young man played as a freshman(@JHS) & 2 yrs of varsity @ BM!
That's 3 Op, if you're still counting.

The posters probably should have used the term "high school level" instead of "varsity level".

In that case, AW played 4 years of high school basketball.

From what I understand, the former JHS basketball coach was not contacted in the matter. All that had to be done was look at the team photo from that season, and you will see AW in that photo.
