D10 clears up any uncertainity about who's getting in with the following:

The District 10 Football Committee set the following for the upcoming 2006 playoffs.

In Class "A" four teams from Region 1 and four teams from Region 2 will qualify.
In Class "AA" four teams from Region 3 and four teams from Region 4 will qualify.
In Class "AAA" four, five or six teams will qualify pending the outcome of the final two weeks of regular season games.
In Class "AAAA" Cathedral Prep vs McDowell on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, November 15th, 16th or 17th at Erie Stadium.

The full bracketing will be released on Saturday November 4, 2006 on the District #10 website at http://www.district10.com


Not sure why they wouldn't wait until the regular season ends, but at least now we know who's getting in.

as a staunch WPIAL supporter I may have to give it up to District 10 this year...they are always tough but after going toe to toe with the WPIAL in week one they came close in Single A with rochester and Wilmington (WHom has an amazing RB) beat a very good DOuble A ford city team...the WPIAL A and AA will face stiffer than usual resistance to get out of this half of the state...
