I know Penn State was already ranked this season but I think it is time to get them back into the Top 25 again. They lost to three Top 10 teams that were all ranked in the Top 5 at the time they played them and I think it is time to get them back in there. Pitt has not been well represented by the voters either by not making the list at all this season while only losing two games to two decent opponents.

I think one of the biggest problems is that the voters of the Northeast do not represent their teams well. Every year when they give the breakdown during the Heisman presentation the northeastern votes always go to SEC, PAC-10, Big-12 players. While all other area's usually vote for the player that is in their region. Just look at some of the greaqt players of recent years that have not won the Heisman out of the Northeast but deserved it or at least being a lot closer than they were(Larry Fitzgerald, Larry Johnson, Michael Vick, possibly Micheal Robinson).

Until the Northeastern writers start to stick up for the teams they should be representing these teams will continue to always be set sort in the polls and the awards.

Why would the "northeastern" writers stick up for a team in a midwestern conference?

Neither team has beaten anybody that makes them deserving yet really. Pitt hasn't beaten a team with a .500+ record. PSU has beaten... Akron, YSU, NW, Minny, Ill, and Purdue. None of them are world beaters either. If they beat Wisky on the road to go to 7-3, they can sneak back in. Right now, they need to finish the regular season 9-3 and go to the Citrus! 8-4 gets them the Outback bowl.

Either bowl is an SEC matchup. Florida, Auburn, LSU, Arkansas, or Tennessee should be the opponent and that makes for a real nice BCS level opponent.

Before we all get hepped up about PSU beating Wisconsin, has anyone really looked at the Badgers? coach just criticized Pitt about who they have beaten this year. Let's look at Wisconsin so far. They are 8-1. Here are their wins: 1) Beat a 4-5 Bowling Green team which lost last week to Temple, 2) Beat 1-aa Western Illinois (4-5) at home, 3) Beat 1-6 San Diego State by a whopping score of 14-0 at home, 4) Beat a 5-4 Indiana team which lost to 1-aa Southern Illinois earlier this year, 5) Beat 2-7 Northwestern, which lost to 1-aa New Hampshire earlier this year, 6) Beat 3-6 Minnesota which barely beat North Dakota State 10-9 last week, 7) Beat 5-4 Purdue, and 8) Barely beat 2-7 Illinois by 6 points. Wisconsin is the most overrated team in the top 20. They will be lucky to beat PSU.

I hate to see what happens to that Big 10 school that ends up playing the SEC school. That game will be reallll ugly. I don't think PSU would score a point on LSU.
