Rutgers Scarlett Knights are still undefeated after their slim victory over No. 3 Louisville. I think the Knights would be screwed to not get a championship bid if they win out. But, what if they win the next two and lose the last game agains West Virginia, are their hopes to play for the national title still justified at 11-1? No matter what happens, much respect to Rutgers, the state university of New Jersey. Also big ups to the Big East, the Beasts of the East as far as college football is concerned.

Ne team that goes undefeated in a BCS conference deserves a chance at the national title but if they lose no it's not justified because of there non conference schedule was so week

I wonder how good Rutgers will be when Schiano takes the Miami job? What's that tell you about the Big East?

ND sneaking into the Picture...
Ohio State #1 win over Michigan#2
-Michigan drops to 5/6
ND #4 win by 14+ over USC #3 important
-ND flip places with USC
Florida#2 loss to florida state
-florida drops to 5
OSU rematch with ND of last years blow-out bowl game
Smith# 1 heisman candidate* vs Quinn#2 candidate*
...who wouldnt want to see that??
*A good showing out of quinn, vs usc, and a bad showing of smith vs michigan could launch quinn to #1

What I've never understood is why undefeated teams get punished for losing a game late in the season. A team is much better off losing early. So if Michigan were to lose to OSU by 3 points, they are going to drop 3-4 places, but they may be the best one loss team out there.

Especially if a team they crushed gets up to #2. What an awful system.

Many conference's are very top heavy this year.
BIG EAST:
Top three teams combined record:
25-2
Next 3 Teams:
18-12
BIG TEN:
Top Three teams combined record:
32-1
Next 3 Teams:
19-14
PAC 10:
Top 3 Teams:
23-6
Next 3 Teams:
18-13
SEC Top 4 teams:
35-6
Next 4 Teams:
26-16
Big 12 and ACC are rather balanced conferences
what this does is each conference has its teams that has only one loss and that is due to only having one or two teams in its conference to test that team the rest are rather average and this creates a lot of one loss teams that want BCS recognition like West Virginia, Wisconsin, Louisville, USC, ect., that they have only one or two quality wins but also have a loss.
