A Win for the Ages?

Wins are so few and far between for the struggling Cornell Raiders girls basketball program, that it is newsworthy when their hard efforts pay off with a victory.
Cornell has gone winless in two of the past four years (2002-2003 and 2005-2006), however the Raiders were able to snap a 50-game losing streak with a 24-21 win over Aquinas Academy on Tuesday.
Rebecca Linner led the Raiders with 13 points.
Cornell's previous win came on December 6, 2004 in a 32-30 victory over Quaker Valley.
Those are the Raiders only two wins since the 2001-2002 campaign.
