Central vs. Tussey

Post by IHeartCHS »

Central defeated Tussey Mountain 60-40. This score does not indicate how this game actually went. Both teams were sloppy at times, but the Dragons held the lead most of the game. Jimmy Snyder had an excellent game both on offense & defense and came away with the Tourney MVP award. Patterson again put on a show with a few blocked shots and a lot of boards. (He and Stoltz were named to the All-Tourney Team. Don Dunkle also came off the bench and gave Central a spark. But the highlight of the night came from TM's Zimmerman with 7.7 seconds left after he got called for a foul.
Zimmerman: (Kicks Ball)
Ref: (Blows Whistle and forms T with his hand)
Zimmerman: (Forms T with his hand and shoves in Ref's face)
Ref: (Forms T with his hand and blows whistle again)
Zimmerman: (Waves goodbye and walks into the locker room)

Central then made 4/6 free throws. (Patterson shot 2 from the personal foul, Stoltz shot 4 from the 2 Technicals)

Did Zimmerman punt it or intentionally kick it off the ground? That would have been a site to see!

the ball was on its way down after zimmerman got called for a foul (I forgot to mention the foul) before it could hit the ground, he just punted it.

I thought this was a great game to watch, up until the little temper tantrum by Zimmerman that is. I'm not sure what he was so ticked off about anyway.....the calls were definitely going in favor of Tussey tonight. I guess you can't expect the kids to have good behavior though when their coach acts just as bad...

Well put. I guess all of the frustration of getting their butts whooped got to him. Either that or he just wanted to leave early and get a good seat on the bus. You're right, they're coach was outta control tonight at times.

I'd hate to be Zimmerman and have to answer to Bailey after not only getting T'd up, but also T'ing up the ref...

Prob get dropped off in somerset and told to run home...in under 15 minutes

How could Bailey be upset? His players are just acting like he usually does.

Tussey is better than Central we beat them all summer and we could do it again. We juust got caught on a bad week. The fouls werent in Tusseys favor they were equal. We just couldnt make a shot. And Bailey was calm. Zimmy didnt get into much trouble just misses a game it will show just how good of a team we are when we dont have him just wait were winning districts :D

Hey, the last time I checked, Summer league meant nothing. Zimmerman was out of control, and all ya'll know it. I think the kid shoulda been able to keep his composure. Kicking the ball was one thing, but getting in the ref's face was totally uncalled-for. I guess your right about Bailey being "calm". He'd normally be the one punting the ball and T'ing up the ref. I'd have to agree that Tussey had an off-week, (they barely beat Williamsburg), but on a good week, Central's still got'em by at least 7.

Sorry to break it to ya, but in summer league you were playing against alot of 9th graders because most of our players play federation.. Summer leagues don't mean anything.. I wasn't there last night, but what I heard, Zimmerman was out of control.. He even helped with Centrals basketball camp this summer, then he comes in and kicks a ball around, shoves his hand in the refs face.. Common, grow up a lil bit..
