Penn State needs to take my advice.

Penn State's offensive lines have been underachieving (and probably should be labeled as "bad") for years. I know that PSU has extreme difficulty in letting go of things, but maybe it is a novel idea to acknowledge problems and try to fix them, instead of just dealing with it, which is exactly what Penn State does. Jeff Hartings has a pretty strong personality, he played in the NFL for 70 years and was good in all of them, and he's a Penn State graduate. Now, with Hartings set to retire, isn't it maybe a good idea to get him in Happy Valley to either be the line coach or an assistant? I can't imagine he'll end up in a broadcasting booth, or in movies. Go and hire this guy so the line gets better, for God's sakes. There should NEVER be a time when Penn State needs to resort to wasting scholarships on Junior College kids because the offensive line is absolute garbage. AE,
Are you sure he coaches the O-Line at PSU? Larry Johnson is probably the best assistant on the staff!! I know you know everything about college football. I do know so listen up: Dick Anderson coaches Centers+Guards and Bill Kenney coaches Tackles+Tight Ends. Sorry to bust your little bubble but go check your facts. Letssssssss Goooooooo Mountaineers!!!

Sorry to burst your bubble Enemy but Mr. Hartings is moving to Utah says the Pittsburgh Post. So i doubt he coaches anytime soon. But i agree that he has the ablitliy and personallity to coach oline for Penn State and I agree that not only shud they offer but it would be very silly not to try to get him on the staff or any any football team to get him on their staff.

He is a critic of Paterno, and some new ideas do nothing but help that stagnant line. There's no excuse they're as bad as they are.
Holly is right, though, Johnson coaches the d-line. I don't why I got that backwards today. I fixed it.
