Yes, they want to win the World Series just like every other team in Major League Baseball. But they know that they have to get through the Yankees to make it. Getting younger is not what the Yankees do. So, why shouldn't have Boston traded for Schilling instead of some minor leaguer?

I was just reading that the Rangers would trade ARod to the BoSox for Manny straight up. The BoSox would have to pick up most of ARods huge contract and also pay some of Manny's. If the trade goes through Boston will then look to move Nomar, with the Dodgers and Anaheim being the top two teams he's likely to go to. I like ARod and he's obvioiusly a great player but Boston already has a very good shortstop and Manny provides nearly as much power and average as Arod... what do you think?

Manny may provide alot of power...but I think that A-rod is a much better hitter...for power and for average...why do they have to trade Nomar though?...why couldn't they just move him to 2nd or something because he is a hell of a fielder and a solid hitter

A-Rod is a leader too. He would be great in Boston.

It would be huge for the Red Sox to acquire A-Rod. He's one of the top players in baseball and would be loved in Boston. If the Red Sox get him, I don't think that the Yankees could top that move.

They would have 2 trade Nomah becuz they would not have enough money 2 pay all of those players. Although it would be interesting 2 see those 2 play together up the middle. Boston loves Nomah so I think trading for Arod is not in the best interests of the BoSox. If it happens tho I cant say its the wrong move...

IF you have the money, you can buy anyone. You don't see Pittsburgh in the mix.

A bunch of teams have improved. Astros, Phillies, Yanks, and the Sox big time. Have the Bucs done anything to help?
