POOL

Post by Sto »

Any pool sharks in here? Just curious, I play for recreation, I've only really had a table for a year now but it's about the only thing I do besides school and I'm getting pretty good at it.

I have a table and I am decent. I don't use the table as much as I should, but I still use it.

Its a great game to get into, especially fun to have tournaments because the games go so quick. I think it is very fun to watch also, try watching one of the trick shot tourneys once, it will blow your mind what some of these guys can do with a cue and a ball.

I agree completely. Tourns. are fun to watch on tv and play in. I'm not too bad myself, i've been known to be a local pool shark. Those trick shot comp. are amazing. I just watched the finals a week or 2 ago for this years trick shot champion. Those guys are awesome.

There was a trick shot competition on this morning on ESPN2. Some of the shots were impressive to say the least. The coolest one that was made was where the one guy competing took 2 cowboy boots and put them about 5 feet away from one end of the table on the ground. Then he took the cue ball and placed it behind the middle pocket on the table, and jumped it the whole way across the table and the floor and put it right in one of the boots. It was amazing because it flew in mid air without bouncing for like 12 feet right dead smack in the boot. AWESOME !!

yea, it was probably the same show...they just had it on again then today. Another one that was cool was where they took the rack and placed a ball under it on one end (the rack stood on one end with the ball under it and the other end on the table) and when the hit the ball, it would go into the corner pocket and the rack would flip in mid air and land standing straight up. None of them got it to work completely but it was cool to watch.
