UVA vs. Pitt in the Tire Bowl
This will be a very good matchup! UVA had a rather disappointing season this year when stellar quarterback Matt Shaub from Chester, PA got injured...they are a very good team with a young linebacker core...I think they will win this game over Pitt because UVA's Lundy will run over the Pittsburgh defence...Pitt has not been able to stop the run all year...It will be interesting to see how Fitzgerald will handle this game after coming off of a dissapointing performance against Miami!
The winner ain't always the one with the fastest car....it's the one who refuses to lose!

Derebasse...good call on the bad season that Pitt had...they didn't do anything worth while except beating VA Tech...I think Harris overestimated the talent he had...they need a new head coach...if Harris can't seem to understand how to get the ball to the best player in college(Larry Fitzgerald) than he doesn't deserve to coach

Why all the Pitt hating?
Just wondering why all the Pitt hating? They went 8-4 this year and they are going bowling again for the 4th straight year. I know they have underachieved this year in some eyes, but 8-4 is nothing to sneeze at. Does anyone remember where Pitt was about 7 years ago. They were losing 72-0 to Ohio State (and having a punt returned on them for a TD by only eight Buckeyes on the field), sixty something to 0 to ND, and Syracuse put a 40 or 50 spot on them. There was serious talk about the program moving to I-AA, so in 7 years there has been a tremendous turnaround.
Harris' next step, which he probably should have taken this year, is to win the big game, which he really hasn't done yet. He needs to keep the team moving in the right direction, and if he can't he should be gone, but let's not crucify him because he has done a tremendous job from what he was left with when he replaced Johnny Majors. Also don't forget about Harris' recruiting job this year with the Big East in turmoil, he only landed high school studs QB Morelli and RB Johnson from the Pittsburgh area as well as others.
And please don't bring up anything about PSU beating Pitt this year. I'm really not sure what you are thinking. I saw Penn State play here in West Lafayette and they really were not good. Maybe next year they will be better, but please stay away from PSU beating Pitt.

Re: Why all the Pitt hating?
hahaha, i definaely agree bolierman, im a big Penn State fan and i know that if Penn State played Pitt this year, i know for sure that the Nits wouldnt have a chance against Pitt's two aces, u know what im talkin about...i had no idea that Pitt was going to change from A to AA...good thing they didnt...i think Pitt is going to do the same the other years ahead like this one, i know Pitt isnt very good at upsets but they do pull the tail of the bull once and a while...Im just hoping something will change with Penn State next year, i know they have a good TB and maybe a QB, i dont know if Robinson or Mills is coming back or not for another year...who knows, maybe for the good or worst...If i was in PSU shoes, i would do the same thing that they are goin to do, wait 1 or 2 years, if no improvement, id let JoePA go down in history...
