Think outside the box guys, think of all the combinations(pawn forward 1, pawn forward 1, pawn forward 1, pawn forward 2...)

Probably due to their sizes when it was mainly just printed words. Like the size of the boxes that the letters were carried in. That'd be my guess.

the capital letters were kept in the top box, the lower case letters were kept in the lower box
for 50 points:
during the famous Cal/Stanford game a few years back the game with the band incident....how many laterals did Cal perform before ending in the endzone on that last play?
