64 sounds correct but isnt...16 pieces times 4 moves, but there are several combinations, perhaps mr. gresh could grace us w/ his presence and help us

You can move each pon 4 times, each knight 4 times, and the others 3. (maximum of all) them 3, 2, and 1....so i am taking a guess and saying.....152

64 is no where near correct.

The number of possible ways of playing the first four moves per side in a game of chess is _________.

Think outside the box guys, think of all the combinations(pawn forward 1, pawn forward 1, pawn forward 1, pawn forward 2...)

It's now worth 75 points.

Probably due to their sizes when it was mainly just printed words. Like the size of the boxes that the letters were carried in. That'd be my guess.

the capital letters were kept in the top box, the lower case letters were kept in the lower box


for 50 points:
