Old Timers

Post by 4him »

I suggested that during the break at districts, the coaches should wrestle to relieve their frustration from earlier in the day. But I don't think that is going to work out. So I was wandering who would be interested in an Old Timers tournament in March or even in the summer. Let me know, just to see what kind of interest there is and maybe we can get something started. Whether you are 18 and just out of high school or sixty, a wrestler or never wrestled before, whatever...if you are interested, let me know.

Gunner, if they'll ship you back, can we put you in with that group?

Haven't you ever heard of the don't ask don't tell policy? Are you sure you want gunner rolling around on the mat with other guys?

4him you know I'll do it, but to make up for my lack of wrestling experience I should get to use arm bars and chokes.

Whoa wait, armbars and chokes aren't allowed? Looks like I'll have to do some modified training before i make an appearance.

I think the Old Timer thing is a great thing but one thing you may need to watch b.c i have heard it to happen in the past is you have guys that are in college or just out of college coming into the tournment and guys that havn;t seen the green or red line in the center of the mat for 20 years someone is goin to get hurt i mean yea its all just for fun but there is always the one out there that may go a little to hard or something but for the most part it would be a great time
