Yes there is no question that soccer is a sport and anyone who thinks otherwise is just a moron. Of course some ppl like it more than others, but as gunner said there are just opinions regarding that and its pointless to try and say that soccer is better than football, or cricket is more of a sport than soccer, or water polo is harder than riding the pummell horse. C'mon guys this is just getting 2 be a stupid topic, and I do not want to talk about it anymore. I think the next person that starts a topic of "soccer isnt a sport" or "soccer is a sport" should just be shot, not have their posting privelages revoked...

yes indeed it is a sport 80 minuets of competition between two teams whether its girls or boys soccer in high school. Its a war of feet for 2 periods of action and in the end they diont mouth off at eachother they shake hands and that also means that they congraulate each otehr for a good game

most of the time there is good sportsmanship, but ive been to many a game that got pretty violent...bedford @ somerset this year, game got called about 15-20 minutes early because it was getting too out of control. also if u watch any pro games, especially south american...ur idea of sportsmanship will totally be shot down, most of the time riot cops have to escort the players off the field through seperate tunnels to avoid conflicts. so here in the US of A, it isnt so bad, but elsewhere, watch out!
