wow...we like to gang up on Everett I see. Who beat who in the tournament last weekend at NBC? Just wondering? Everett has a good boys basketball team this year and Adam Miller is an awesome basketball player. As for the remark about welfare...Ill give you credit on that one. It was pretty funny.

Everett has some good wrestlers but can only field about half the weights.

Speedy: there are only a handful of players in the area that can hit the open three!

Here's my two cents about the county in boys basketball over the last 15-20 years- right now its pretty weak- Bedford and Everett have good teams but they would have been run off the floor with some county teams over the 10-15 years. Its hard to find a varsity team in the county that can start 5 good all around basketball players.

Everett had some real good teams and I mean real good in the late 80's that were very deep and very talented so did Tussey and even Hyndman could put 5 decent kids on the floor and be competitive.

My point is that Bedford county boys basketball quality has really went down hill over the last ten years.

Correct about hyndman, JOhn Keller was the coach and I think Donley Logue helped out also. (local attorney with quite a temper). Big gun for hyndman was Jim Pick.

"If...you can't spell...go to Everett" ---You got to be kidding me! Bedford, by far, has Everett outdistanced in athletics, probably in every sport as well. But if I was sending my kid to a school in Bedford County for academics, it definitely wouldn't be Bedford. I know five kids in last years class alone from Everett that were Harvard material, and the schools they went to weren't much worse. In fact, one kid is going to the hardest school in the nation to get into, even harder to get into than Harvard.

The service academies are the hardest school to get into...West Point is the hardest school to get into...and my school must be the best because we have a bunch go to the academies each year...

Actually, West Point was rated the hardest school in the nation to get into and none of the other academies were even listed in the top ten. But regardless, Bedford isn't crap for academics.
