Pitt gets a break

Stull is now injured for atleast a month. This forces the idiot coaching staff at Pitt to play Pat Bostick. Why this was such a hard decision to begin with is well beyond me, but given that genius Cavanaugh was the mastermind behind that Ravens O for so long (absolutely the worst offense in the NFL for years) it does not surprise me that he would want Stull to start. Why are you wasting an entire season with Bill Stull? Don't you realize how much better Bostick is going to be with his legs under him a little bit? The recruiting is fine. We all know this year that Pitt was going to be bad again anyways, so why not let the new players play? This is a business, folks, this isn't patty-cake. You don't need to play Bill Stull and pamper him because he's a lame duck. Do you see what I mean yet when I assault the Pitt staff? It is terrible coaching decisions that have held that team back. Not recruiting, and certainly not level of competition. Now, USF is getting better instead of Pitt. So is Rutgers, and so will Cincinnati. But, at the end of the day now, God forced those idiots to play Bostick. You should be thanking Jesus for this, Pitt fans.

and we all know Jesus is a Pitt fan.......
but seriously Bostick missed 9 practices Is his heart in Pittsburgh yet?....the plan was to reshirt him and now we have our second QB battle of the young season
Stull looked great Saturday 7-7 to open the game and used some inovation with an underhand toss to Stephens-Howling and of his 14-20 performance at least three balls were dropped so by no means was he a lame duck QB in the opener
When did starting one of your own 3 star recruits become a waste of a season?
What in the hell is wrong with starting the only HS QB in Western Pa. to throw for 3,000 yards in a season become such a bad idea?
Whats wrong with starting a QB that actually went threw the entire Fall camp?
im sorry im just not seeing eye to eye on this one?
unless Pat Bostick goes 5-0 or something of that nature the job belongs to Stull when he returns
but if we start Kevan Smith all bets are off and i agree with you
and the whole coaching concept
Wannstedt is an idiot
Cavanaugh is stuck untill we got some linemen
and Paul Rhodes should have been fired on the spot after the '03 Notre Dame game

Can't we both agree that Pat Bostick is the future QB of the team? That makes Stull a lame duck.

would that make every QB a lame duck then? If Stull plays these 2 years out and Bostick redshirts one of them he gets 3 yeards of eligability and Palko made 3 years work for him

Is Paterno some kind of jerk or something? Tell, me. Who is the future QB at PSU after this year? Why Pat Devlin, of course. Then what kind of idiot makes Daryl Clark the back-up to Morelli. Shouldn't Clark be shelved and Devlin inserted into the back-up role. After all, Devlin is the future. Why keep him 3rd string? Get him into that back-up role right now, for the sake of the team. Make Clark a linebacker or something. It doesn't matter if Devlin isn't as good as Clark. Devlin is the future and he should be 2nd string NOW.

Clark has proved he has a lot of upside though. Kevan Smith (I think that's his name) has not. That's the difference. And do you really trust the Pitt coaching staff when they make a decision like this based off of practice?
