John Strittmatter has resigned from his coaching position at Central Cambria. I am unaware of who has assumed the position, but maybe someone else can shed some light on who the current Central Cambria coach is for the upcoming season.

CC's new coach is Mike Marshall, he went to Bedford from what I understand, I haven't heard much of him, but that's who the new man in charge is. I believe he got hired over Greg Grimes, who took over for Coach Bowser at FH when he took the year off...anyone else know anything?

Mike Marshall went to Bedford. He graduated in 1990. He was a state placewinner in wrestling and Played football at IUP. He got invited to NY Giants camp but didn't make the team. He had a great indoor football career in Johnstown and Wheeling though.

We are all sorry to see John go from my alma mater.
However, Mike Marshall is indeed the new Red Devil head coach and I hope you'll all join me in welcoming him into the CC family.
I wish I would have been able to apply for much less be considered for the position at CCHS. However, I have a bit of a non-conventional career and as my family grows (3rd child on the way - hopefully another HWT) I find less and less time to be able to devote to our great sport. But thanks for bringing my name up nevertheless! Stay strong and healthy this year boys. Have a great season D6-ers!(Especially you Rangers and Red Devils)

When you get a break from practice/matches/tournaments.....make sure you get down to the UPJ sports center and take in our 2007-2008 UPJ Mountain Cat team. Coaches Pecora and Strittmatter have something special down there this year!

Thank You for your explaination Mr. Grimes. Why not tell the truth though. You have burnt some bridges in the past and would not have been hired had you applied anyway.

I appreciate your insight Mr. Big Chief. Thanks for the heads up. Refresh my memory, which one of the CC administrators are you again or are you on the school board there? Regardless, if I've upset you in the past I apologize. I've only ever had the kids that I've coached best interests at heart. Thanks again for the help. Have a great season.

Regardless if Mr. Grimes has burnt bridges in the past, I think he did a good job with Forest Hills when he was there that year. I had the opportunity to watch him coach, and he did an excellent job, unlike a lot of coaches in the area. He was very vocal, addressed the things the wrestlers needed to do during the match, and was a good coach in my eyes. Wasn't that Fogel's freshman year, when McVicker went down with the leg injury? Let's please not bash people on these boards, and start fights that don't need to be started.
