Re: PIAA State Finals--Again loaded with PRIVATE SCHOOLS!
O.K boys and girls, I've heard the debate between Catholics, privates, charters, academys and the publics for years and nothing ever changes. This debate is as bad, if not worse then the Dems and the GOP. So here is the solution once and for all; we start on a small scale, county by county througout our state. Each public school sends one rep to the county seat for a meeting. At that meeting, all public schools agree to withdraw from the PIAA. From this meeting, one rep will represent each county and a second meeting, say in State
College (middle of state) will be called. There, all reps will come to the conclusion that one more letter will be added to the PIAA acronym forming the new "PPIAA", THE PENNSYLVANIA PUBLIC INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION. Now that wasn't so difficult, was it? Think it can't happen, think back to the old Appalachian Conference when it disbanded. The primary reason was to form a new conference minus a certain Catholic school. IT WORKED!!!! Now granted, this was on a much smaller scale, but it worked. We could go back to the days, if everyone had the time to research, to the days of the Catholics being in their own league. What the heck, we'll even give them the Charters, Academys, and numerous private schools. We'll even throw in George Junior Republic, Glenn Mills, and Frew Mills. Everyone would be singing hosannas and praising the lord. Who wants to be the next Brad Cashman?

There are at least two kinds of cowards. One kind always lives with himself, afraid to face the world. The other kind lives with the world, afraid to face himself.
I have to say thank you to me ..." for not being stupid enough to go to Penn State."

Since you said "at least" two, can you find out for us what the other ones might be. Inquiring minds what to know.

Re: PIAA State Finals--Again loaded with PRIVATE SCHOOLS!
Quote from Ali Williams...Blair County against regional all-star game...
"They have a wider area to select from, and we just have Blair County, but that's really never been a problem. But, this game was really for fun. Coming in, I knew they had a good team. I just wanted to play the best game I could,'' Williams said. "They had a lot of depth. Sometimes in our subbing, we had to have five guards in or something like that. That probably hurt us.''
.....When it's for all the marbles, BG gets that wider area to select from always.
