Robert Bolden and Silas Redd
This kid might fall flat on his face this week in Alabama, but I have to say I was really impressed with how he handles himself and throws the football. Very Quick Release. Strong arm. Mobile. I think he could be something special by the end of the year.
Silas Redd had 2 runs yesterday that I haven't seen from a Penn State running back in some time. He cuts on a dime without losing a step.
I can't wait to watch these kids the next few years.

I was impressed by Bolden's play as a true freshman. He didn't look overly nervous. He doesn't have a strong arm, but he seemed pretty accurate for his first game. He's going to get fed to the wolves next week, though. It will be interesting to see how he reacts.

Alabama had trouble early with San Jose State's offense. They DO have 10 new starters on defense. But I dont think Penn State can keep this within 15 or 20, to be honest with you. I'm too much of a realist to get my hopes up.

Re: Robert Bolden and Silas Redd
I would not consider Bolden's arm strong at this point in his career. It's not weak either, though. He appeared accurate at 15 yards and under. I don't think PSU stands a chance against Alabama. PSU will be lucky to keep it within two touchdowns. Don't forget that Nick Saban shows no mercy and loves to run the score up.

Bolden guns every throw, He lacks some touch and that can result in some tipped int's.
I think he has a very good arm but he doesn't need the Strasburg fastball for every route.

Arm is very strong. Not sure what Deliverance saw.

Re: Robert Bolden and Silas Redd
I should have stated it that it doesn't look like he has a lot of accuracy on his deeper throws. That's my bad. It's not so much that he doesn't have a strong arm, but he just didn't look very accurate on his deeper throws. I wouldn't want to have to rely on him throwing the ball more than 15 yards consistently. Just my opinion, though.

Re: Robert Bolden and Silas Redd
I can agree with that. He did seem to be off a bit on longer throws. That's something very correctable, though.
