Since alot of you guys like to deal in hypotheticals, If Paterno would punch a kid like Woody Hayes did, should he still be admitted to the Hall of Fame?

the reason he grabbed his collar was to get his attention, you can see it in the videos and you heard JoePa say it himself.
Titan, the way you critizize him, its as if he reads this board, which i doubt, but if he did, do you really think he actually cares, who are you to say something that matters in a world that you are not part of, unless you are on his staff or fellow coach, you have no reason to becritical with him, if you dislike penn state so much, and you thin Paterno is driving it into the ground, why do you keep calling for him to leave, i think i know why, YOUR WORRIED THAT HE WILL COME BACK AND BE #1 AGAIN! so you want him out of there before he gets back into his stride

If you are hired to do a job, and you fail to do so in the time allotted, are you not a failure? Coaches are hired to win championships. Ultimately the Super Bowl if they are in the NFL. Secondary titles like conferences or divisions, are rungs on the Super Bowl ladder. Bill Cowher, when taking this into consideration, is at this present time a failure. It's like Herm Edwards said: YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME. You don't start the season in the NFL hoping to win 10 games and maybe make the playoffs. You try to win the Super Bowl. That means 31 teams are failures in that year's campaign. Winning 10 games means you lost 6, maybe 7. That's 6 or 7 failures.
